Need Suggestions: Mr. Krabs Costume

Ar ar ar. Hello!
This is a funny topic, but my friends are hosting a SpongeBob themed birthday party (even though we are decrepit old goofs) , and I volunteered to be Mr. Krabs. It's also a Halloween party. The birthday is for my friend's boyfriend and he loves SpongeBob, so why not?
I haven't made a costume in years, and I haven't been to any party in...I don't know, since I was a kid?
Anyways, if you guys have any suggestions on what materials to use, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a list of ideas I've come up with so far:

  • Body: cardboard, paper mache, acrylic paint, waterproof finish.

  • Legs: unsure, maybe red leggings and red high heels (I'm a guy, so I'm a little hesitant to wear high heels only because I've never tried them on).

  • Arms & Claws: red long sleeve shirt for the arms, foam for the claws.

  • Eyes & Nose: foam clay and pliable wire.

  • Clothes: I'm either painting them on or going to Goodwill.

It's going to take a bit of effort but I'm excited to see the outcome. I'm also thinking about setting up a motion activated device that will play his walking sound effect whenever I walk. LOL. Just a funny thought.
Feel free to suggest some funny ideas to go along with the costume. I'm tempted to bring a "cash cannon" and litter the house with monopoly money.

I fully support this and think that this is a beautiful idea.

Since you're doing cardboard, just paint the clothes on so you dont have to waste extra money on clothes you won't wear besides today

Definitely litter the house with monopoly money

High heels are great and would work for this costume for the sound, definitely practice walking in them beforehand though!

Nice ideas you've got here! If I were you, I'd definitely mount the eyes on a headband and get some thin elastic to keep the nose on.

As far as the body goes, cardboard is fine. It would be super easy to paint it like one of those photo props at carnivals with the face hole cut out--and super easy/comfortable to remove if you need to use the bathroom or get tired of wearing the whole thing. Just wear something close to his clothes in the cartoon on your actual body and people will likely still get the costume regardless.

Red tights are a good idea! Up to you if you wanna do heels. I personally don't recommend it at parties because there's a lot of standing to talk to folks or play games and they can get uncomfy FAST if you aren't used them.

The monopoly money would be a hilarious touch
