With Congress' permission, the FWA secured a special use permit and began setting up the new settlement under the radar with the aid of federal tax dollars and anonymous nonprofits. In 1996, scientists fitted two pairs of wolves with GPS receivers and released them within the fictitious preserve known as BlackCreek. Marking the beginnings of a daunting task ahead, these wolves were now the sole ambassadors of their species in that region. A year has passed since then. The couples successfully bonded and produced a surviving litter of wolf pups. Though substantial progress has been made, only time will tell if this will be a success story. The year is 1998. Government Sanctions allow for the release of young, captured wolves into BlackCreek to diversify the gene pool and analyze wolf behavior— You wake up. Finally, the dizziness wears off. Your belly feels heavy as if sick, your vision is blurry. No scent is familiar to you - wherever you are now, this is not home. The breeze carries other wolf scents to you, mingled with the strange smell clinging to your fur. You are on your own, but you're not alone. ------------- Wolves of BlackCreek is a semi-realistic, casual rp based on the old misconception of wolf packs and my nostalgia for old-fashioned rps. There's no extensive lore, no overarching plots, just strangers thrown together in a chat to make something of their own.
