Help deciding base for total shuffle

So, I had this pup hanging around. He was part of my tutorial litter and no matter what, I had no luck with selling him. So, I decided I'd apply a total shuffle to him and see what I got! I'm not too disappointed with the results, but his brown inuit unders clash hard with his marengo base. So, I have been thinking about applying a base changer to him. I'm not entirely sure which base I should apply, I'd prefer if it was a tier II base, though. I think the best ones I've seen were pecan and russet. Though, they cause the marking to blend in a bit. I really want to like the way he looks with a base like galena but I'm not sure about it.

If you were to add a new base to this lil guy, what would you go with?

I think LilacPewter or Onyx looks pretty nice, I personally like the fact that the brown shows a bit on darker bases :)

When I was first going through the bases lilac was definitely one of the ones that I thought looked nice. Looking back at it, the brown definitely is able to stick out and stand on its own, which I like, but it doesn't look out of place. I've realized it looks a bit like he walked through some mud, which I think makes it more fun! I'm definitely considering lilac now more, thank you !

Hm, I'm weird so I like how he looks now... But if I had to say just looking at the suggestions above I actaully really like Onyx! ^^
