Summarized Story
The full role-play story will be available to members upon joining.
To be bonded with a dragon is a feat not many can claim since they pulled away from mankind. It has been practically unheard of for five centuries until suddenly, two infants had been discovered to have marks identical to those in the books on small areas of their bodies. A third, a human, would be discovered more recently.
The children are now 16-18 and have been sent by their villages to discover their bonds, and learn to manage them. Each is blessed with two traits to aide them in determining which dragon they discover is their own; their hidden patch of scales will be identical to their dragon's, with a single eye holding the same reptilian pupil and color of their bond's.
The teenagers each have two abilities granted to them by the bond, corresponding directly to their dragon's powers, but at a lesser degree. They have not mastered these abilities by any means, but do have some understanding as to what they are.
Have dragon bonds truly returned to the continent, or have they decided to play a cruel joke on Agros?
Group Rules
→ Because this group is invite only, no writing samples are required after joining up. With being more on the literate to novella side, there is an expectation of 300+ words per post, but writing block happens so unless it becomes a problem, this won't be heavily pushed onto everyone. As long as everyone responding can work with it and it contributes to the story so things can move on, it's alright! We value quality of writing over quantity of words and require proper spelling and grammar. If English isn't your first language we are okay with mistakes, but we'd like everyone to be on a similar writing level.
→ Characters can and will get injured, ill, or killed; this will never be done without the permission of the player, and these events won't be happening every couple of posts. It is extremely unlikely any of them will die, but injuries and illnesses may happen. If you have an idea for something you'd like to see, please feel free to speak up! If you'd feel more comfortable doing so privately, please DM me (cat)! There are milestones/mini plot points planned as the RP progresses, but ideas are more than welcome.
→ The best timeframe I can give you for this is to imagine medieval times; they'll only have the technology available then, alongside their elemental abilities (riders only). Please keep the characters realistic to this timeframe.
→ The roles you've picked from are the only roles available at this time. More may open up in the future as they travel, but it is up to the members if they would be open to it or not. No dragon bonds will form aside from the first three.
→ There are no set dragon species to allow for creative freedom and not all looking the same; the only things set in stone are their abilities and that of their riders. The riders have set species to make sure it fits into the lore, but there is a lot of leniency so you can really make them your own.
Application
Due to only 6 primary roles being available with a maximum of 2 optional guard roles, The Dragon's Eye is open on a invite only basis. If members are open to it as the story progresses, more roles may open up as non-rider companions, but this is not guaranteed currently.
The Dragon's Eye is discord exclusive; you HAVE to have discord. If you're picked, you will be DMed on Lioden to ask for your discord so you don't have a random friend invite one day.
