𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡
based on the book series: Survivors

Humanity has suddenly disappeared, as if plucked out of thin air, and all that's left are the animals. The buildings that once stood tall have now crumbled, flora crawling across the broken concrete and clawing their way up the steel beams that lay standing, exposed to the world. The streets that used to be dangerous barricades for dogs stands empty, the metal beasts that roared across them and spewed clouds of darkness having vanished. The sounds of humanity did not fill the air any longer, the only sound being animals, the birds chirping, the underbrush rustling and the water babbling. The domesticated livestock and more wilder animals now roam free without restrain, the food chain sorting itself out in an instant. With the city finally silent, the countryside springs to life and the woods flourish, those already residing there finding new refuges, meaning more mouths to feed as resources are now limited by the skills of the hunters.
What will happen to all of the pet dogs, the dogs in loving homes or the dogs trapped in shelters? What of the street dogs that have already learned to survive or the working dogs that now have no purpose?

Return to survival.

𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The City is lush with man-made resources and safe locations to shelter from the clutches of the seasons but was the home of many dogs and that means more competition. Space is slowly declining as the former pet-dogs create alliances to survive, scared or unsure of the unknown that lies beyond the city limits.
The Countryside is rich with domesticated livestock and rich fertile lands that attract prey animals, but this vast expanse of nature is also home to wandering predators, and as the seasons change the once-domestic livestock will start to migrate to find more grasses. The countryside is home to more nomadic dogs, the ones that have grown up for generations working the land with their people, but what will happen when other foreign dogs start finding out the treasure troves that exist in this land...only time will tell.
The Woodlands are home to the wild, the predators and the prey, where humanity's touch has barely reached. Abandoned, wild, dogs and dangerous hybrids reside here, the laws of nature having reigned over the trees and life within them since the dawn of time. Packs have already been formed and the way of the wild already instilled in these canines, the abundance of nature and the cold clutches of the seasons have already weathered them into resilience.
