1. Coyote’s Hospice
Coyote takes residence in a cave decorated with many sweet-smelling herbs and vines. He tends to the fireflies, and in turn, they give him an ambient light source. Nests crafted from the most comfortable moss and leaves adorn the cave floor, made for the ill and injured to have a good night's rest.Coyote is sorting through aloe, splitting the stalks and letting any juice drip into a big leaf. He uses a frayed piece of turmeric to grind up oregano leaves, before dropping the splintered pieces into the salve. Coyote turns with a smile to a miserable-looking wolf in one of the nests, allowing them to drink the salve.
"It's bitter," they remark, sticking out their tongue.
Coyote turns, finally noticing you standing at the entrance to the cave. He puts the salve down in a nest, trotting up to greet you.
"Hello!" He woofs, sniffing your fur. "Is something the matter? I can help! Here, come inside."
