🐺 The Subordinate Den 🐺
The subordinate den is a humble, yet cozy den located on the outskirts of the pack's territory. This was where the lower ranking members of the pack, such as the unranked young adults and newer members without a position reside.It is here that the leader often resides to rest in-between explorations, tactfully blending in with his pack and keeping a watchful eye on their well-being. This den was strategically placed to protect the undefended members of the pack, and the leader often uses this as an opportunity to closely observe their behavior and encourage the building of bonds and relationships between pack members. No wolf is ever left unaccounted for, as the leader makes sure to form connections with each and every member of the pack, creating a strong and united community.
Here, the hunters, healers, pupsitters, and scouts all sleep and huddle together most nights for juicy gossip and monthly howls, forming strong friendships and meeting the newcomers. It's also the place where the leader makes important announcements, such as mate celebrations, and give directions to the pack, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.
Celebrations: It's here that the leader proudly announces and congratulates new permanent mate pairs, encouraging unbreakable love unions amongst the pack, as well as showcasing new stud and adult female suitors, ensuring that the pack's sense of romance and diversity remains strong. As the adolescents grow and train, the leader also takes to announcing their individual accomplishments, granting them symbolic accessories that function as trophies of accomplishment, instilling a sense of self esteem and motivation in the young ones. And finally, when the time comes, the leader will announce when he chooses the next heir for the pack, ensuring a smooth transition of power and a bright future for everyone.
