Rehome River
Rehome: To travel to and live with a new pack permanently.River: Freshwater flowing in great abundance towards the sea or away from high elevation.
The rehome river is where wolves are sent for a short time while the pack figures out how to be rid of them. These members have nothing to provide the pack and are sold away to new packs who may have more use for their genetics and skills. Many wolves are here for such a short time that many dens are half built and occupied by new residents frequently. You can see bones, feathers, moss, and other small items still littering the areas around dens, almost like many wolves left without bringing a thing.
