The wolves of the nursery were crowded around the second in command, the leads mate. A small pup Aeraxtle was nuzzled into her belly.
Cyvaros snapped at them. Commanding them back, she had just given birth to her pups. She didn't need them crowding around her like she had done the impossible. It's giving birth, not fucking magic.
"It looks like you, miss Cyvaros," a new comer, Saga Spot said. The black patched wolf jerked upwards, enraged by the younger wolf's wording.
Saga Spot glanced at a couple of the other new comers with an uncomfortable look on her face. Cyvaros snarled in anger, "of course she looks like me, she's my daughter," she snapped.
Saga Spot and a few of the other's jumped, Crimson Flower one of the few wolves who didn't get up to gawk at her and Aeraxtle pushed herself to her feet.
The red and white furred wolf pushed through the crowd, placing herself between the wolves and Cyvaros. "None of you have the right to crowd around our queen, for fucks sake she just gave birth, have you no manners?" She swiped at them, causing a few to back off. Other's sensed the threat of a fight and made their way back to their own pups.
"What's going on? I heard yelling," Cyvaros felt relieved as her mate, Orcastrode into the cavern. He seemed upset as he gazed around the room. At Orca's entrance, the wolves of the nursery bowed, taking off for their nests.
Cyvaros stressfully began to lick her pups, Aeraxtle struggled to get away from her mother's violent licking. "Cyvy, please calm down," her mate cooed, gently licking her muzzled.
The greenish blue and black wolf paused, a wave of comfort and relief washing over her again. As long as Orca was with her she wouldn't have to worry. And that thought made her so happy.
