ㅤOriginally I was to be given away to another pack, I had no say, neither did any of the others. But for some reason the lead, Позлатена Кожа, came and spoke to me. The leader never spoke to the wolves that were to be given away. "Silence," she said for that was the name I had at the time, "I have been thinking about your future. You will stay with us, you may now sleep in the main cave." I was semi-estatic at the the thought of staying with the pack and promised to myself to work as hard, and possibly harder, than my packmates.

ㅤI was to be the next lead, I was to follow in Позлатена Кожа's pawprints and lead the pack when the lead died. I wasn't sure what to make of it. Феникса told me to go with it and accept the role with honor, but what if the lead was mistaken?

ㅤTwo new wolves joined the pack, both with the new albinism mutations, Позлатена Кожа has been speaking with them, I fear that I was right in thinking that my title of "heir" was false. They have been named in strange tongues, not of the old language or wolfspeak.

ㅤПозлатена Кожа has fallen pregnant, my doubts lay heavy on my fur like a sickly rain.

ㅤIn one month our lead gave birth, it was an unnaturally short time. She has now a son and daughter, she takes to both of them as if they were the water of life. I feel my dreams of leadership are done for, the pups have too many relatives in the pack to loose a vote if it comes to one.

As I thought I was not made lead, I was passed up by Позлатена Кожа's son. I have no objections as I am sure if I did they wouldn't be heard, at least not in a good light. So I take it graciously and offer my congratulations to Орлово Крило and get a fumbled and happy thanks. Фенекса pities me probably, I wonder if she'll stay friends with me now that I'm just a hunter and no longer chosen for glory. Sometimes I think she believes me to be stupid. Time will tell I suppose.
