Elks Bugle

Backstory
Elks Bugle was born to two wolves in captivity not far from the Wyoming-Utah Border near Kemer. Unfortunately, the sanctuary that held them soon went out of business and both her parents ended up being too old to be released to the wild. Instead, Elk was sent away with the stories of her wolf ancestors in mind as she sought to make her own pack in the high Uinta Mountains.

One night after the Buck Supermoon, Elks Bugle felt a strange tingling all over her fur as she dreamed of chasing a large herd of Elk. As she chased them over a river she slipped and fell, waking with a start. Little did she know, that is until she went for a drink that morning, that her pelt had changed and she gained a large white marking on her face; The Mark of the North Star.

During Year 2 on July 23rd (2022) - Elks Bugle stretched as she woke from her sleep, her pelt twitched as she shook the tired from her fur. As she did so, Grizzly Pelt trotted in carefully; She'd recently lost an eye but she insisted to continue to scout for the pack. Every morning she was to come in and give the latest report, and today was like any other.
"Alpha, I've got the latest report," She began as Elk walked up to her and leading her to the entrance of the cave.
As they sat down and watched the moon set over the horizon, Grizzly spoke softly.
"The Elk Herd from the Grassland are making their way back to our Hunting Grounds and will be back in a moon or two. Meanwhile the Whitetail are moving into the Aspen stands beyond the grasslands but I scented some Eastern Wolves tracking them there."
Elk nodded.
"I see, I'll let the hunting parties know about the Elk Herd. I'll keep them hunting here in the Mountains to keep away from those Eastern Wolves. We already have enough to worry about; What else Grizzly Pelt?"
The Sun started to rise and showered warm amber glow over the main den area a new figure came into the view; Mossy Stones. She'd sent him out earlier on a hunt and the blood around his mouth told her he'd been successful, but something about the way he was walking told her something was wrong.
Elk twitched her ear and Grizzly fell silent, a simple sign she learned early in the pack.
The grey furred male came over slowly, his tail low as well as his head in a sign of respect and he stopped short and sat down, scratching behind his elbow.
Elk knew this behavior and knew exactly what was wrong; He was sick.
As per pack law, if any wolf should become sick they are to stay a Blacktail Deer Length away from other wolves as to prevent spread of disease especially to prevent spread to pups or the elderly.
"I see..." She began before huffing. "Go see Sooty Snow, he'll know what exactly is wrong. And hopefully he'll have a cure for you. If he doesn't, you'll relocate to the Isolation Dens until you're treated."
Mossy nodded and she added, "Did you kill any prey?"
He stood up straighter and said, "Yes, a Bighorn Sheep. I put it aside from the pile; I can only hope it hasn't been affected by whatever I have."
"I'll have another packmate check over it just in case. Say hello to Sooty Snow for me."
And with that he walked away.
Grizzly turned to her leader and asked, "Are you sure we should even touch the prey?"
Elk glanced over at her and said, "We cannot afford to lose prey this close to the cold snap, Grizzly Pelt. If your so worried about the edibility of the prey, then you'll look over it yourself."
Grizzly stiffened, obviously irritated with the order but she got up, dipped her head and trotted off to check the prey.
With a shake of her fur and twitch of her tail, Elk got up and went for a walk around the territory.

Injury History:
SpoilerLeft Ear Notch - She got a small notch in her left ear from a scuffle with Cnitharian Osprey in the Deciduous Forest. She killed the bothersome bird but he won't be soon forgotten, the scar being a constant reminder and warning for future when she travels through Dreamland.SpoilerRight Foot Scratch - While travelling through the desert to prairie, Elk came across a crowd of coyotes that she chased off but only after one of them gouged her back right foot. That particular Coyote was killed but the others managed to the hint at that point and took off. SpoilerLeft Leg Bite - Stalking through the Prairie Elk soon found herself face to face with a trio of wolves. One in particular locked onto her back leg while the others harassed her, only for Elk to walk away limping and her tail between her legs. But she wouldn't forget their faces and scents...SpoilerRight Ear Notch - When a Large Bald Eagle swooped down at Elk, It managed to grab a chunk out of her right ear. Which blood dripping down her ear and onto her face she lept up and grabbed the eagle by its tail feathers and basically slammed it onto the ground. It managed to get up soon after and took off, with Elk heading to the Herbalist Tunnels to get her new wound taken care of.
