Let me tell you a tale. A tale of a once mighty, but small pack. A tale of bravery, of warriors. A tale of love. A tale of optimism.

This is the story of Meadows Pack.

Our tale begins many, many years ago when the humans vanished. The sky burned red and dark, and the ground broke open, tearing large cracks in the earth, uprooting trees and rerouting rivers. Human cities and homes collapsed in seconds, leaving sharp debris and damage in its place.

Among the rubble rose a young, lone wolf-dog, freed from human cages, from in the storm. He ran to the woods, meeting another young wolf who called himself Bear. The wild wolf taught our survivor, Chester, how to live freely. Over the course of time, they fell in love. In so much destruction, hope was found.

Chester and Bear formed a pack together, taking in lost souls and starting a family of their own- Pheonix, Church, and Sugar being their only pups, though the pair acted as fathers to all pups in the pack. Many came and went with time.

Then the magic began to happen. Strange dreams, stranger animals, revealed under the light of the full moon. Wolves were born with luminary coats and dazzling eyes- miracles. Chester spent as much time as he could in these dreamlands, learning its secrets and bringing home sparkling gems and fanciful toys, all while loving and growing his pack. The world began to quickly change. The skies turned dark once more, and the smell of the air shifted. Wolves dissapeared and mysterious voices called out to those in their sleep. Chester had always loved the unknown, so when a strange she-wolf showed up claiming her mate had dissapeared too, he stepped up to help.

Chester left and returned with the she-wolf off and on for months, during the time we now know as Coigreach. More wolves came and left Chester and Bear's pack, but core members remained.

As quickly as Coigreach came, it vanished, leaving wolves without mates and packs incomplete. Chester and Bear passed soon after, leaving their pack, Meadows Pack, behind.

As the end of an era came over the family, an old deep colored wolf with white eyes stepped up.

I am 86, and I have been in Meadows Pack nearly my entire life. I have seen first hand my pack rise and fall, and I promised to keep what remains together and safe. We may be small now, but we were once large in numbers, and the spirits of our dead walk with us and guide us.
