Starlight Fangs
ALLIED WITH THE NIGHT WHISPERS PACK
Blossom, a fox-colored wolf with distinct white markings, flicked her tail at Sunspots.
I realized what it meant. It was time to begin the immortalization process.
Blossom started out with a deep, low howl. It brought back memories of joy, love, and heartbreak. It was hard to stay as neutral as I typically did.
Sage, a dark-green wolf with black melanistic spots, entered in a surprisingly high-pitched howl. It was a sweet noise, but melancholic. I swallowed back my feelings of sadness.
Jinx added a sweet howl that warmed me despite the cold winter temperature. Her children, Carnelian, Callie, and my mother, Firefall, joined in, mixing their noises with the melody. Even the eldest wolves, like Sizzle, still found the strength to bay softly.
Soon, the pack rang with the noises of the wolves. Carnelian, my aunt, opened an eye and bobbed her head at me, as if to say, join in, Charlie. You must. I flattened my ears, yet I obliged, howling mournfully to the music.
Sunspots, who stood in the middle of the circle of howling wolves, closed his eyes. I was shocked to see that, after a few seconds, he hovered, as though heaven alone was holding him up.
The circle of wolves unanimously opened their eyes and chanted the sacred words.
"Wolves of the Sky, we bring you one of us.
He is a wolf that is to trust.
His spirit and glory,
his life and his story,
must be cherished forever, together, whenever.
We ask you to immortalize
the wolf before our very eyes,
and once he is given immortality,
return to us our gravity."
I brought my gaze to Sunspots. He still hovered above the ground. His fur glowed bright orange as though the sun was hitting it at just the right angle.
His eyes opened. They were full of dazzling, shimmering bright light that blinded me. I shut my eyes tight, looking away as I wondered if I gone blind. But when I opened them again, they were fine.
Sunspots gently floated back to the ground. His glowing fur had reduced to a dull light in his pelt. As the pack celebrated with howls of joy, I wondered how the Wolves of the Sky had managed it.
My pack organization is a mess right now. Please excuse this, so I'm making a small little code for help.

= Inbred wolf that I want to get rid of one day OR a non-fox that I may or may not get rid of one day OR a raise and chase breeder that is not important to my pack that I will get rid of one day.
