Note: I currently do not have any "pack lore" in place as I prefer writing individual lore for each of my wolves. Each wolf marked with the book icon in their footnote has their own lore if you're truly curious about the pack.
This pack is currently following the Wolvlocke: Legacy Edition Challenge ruleset. All rules listed below are extra rules I've created for my own pack. Other Alhavenlan Pack threads: Pack Members & IDs Northwick Pack: Alhavenlan's direct rivals and played by Kromwell(#125856). Links to their Pack Thread and Pack Page. 2. Only the Alpha Male may breed with the Alpha Female. 3. The pack's Breeding Male/Stud is allowed to breed with whomever he desires. However, the Alpha Female is off limits to him. 4. All pups the pack wishes to keep must be trained for future hunting or scouting roles as soon as they're weaned. However, pups the pack shows no interest in are left at the Enclave or chased off when they reach 1 year old. 5. All wolves that call this pack their home must have a name that fits the pack's style. All members keep the meaning of their names in their biographies. A few exceptions have been given to select wolves if they've arrived to the pack with a name already. Author's Note: All wolves are given a name in the Elvish Language from a game called Dragon Age Inquisition. 6. Wolves are considered Elders when reaching the age of 6 years and are encouraged to retire from their roles at this age. Some are allowed to remain in their roles out of necessity if there are no suitable replacements. 7. The Herbalist is only allowed to create medicine when the pack needs it. Extra uses are tossed if the pack has no use for them. Additionally, medicine will spoil after a week if they haven't been used. Author's Note: This rule does not apply to Healing Salves. 8. Each hunting team is currently limited to 2 hunts per day. 9. If a wolf is injured on a hunt or scouting expedition they will have a chance at gaining a scar from the injury. If they loose -5HP, the wolf will automatically gain a scar. If the wolf looses anywhere from -1HP to -4HP they will have a small chance at receiving a scar. (Yearlings will always receive a scar if it's their first injury however.) 10. A lone wolf may attempt to join the Alhavenlan Pack through either attempting to impress them or lending aid to the pack when they have a role that needs to get filled quickly. Wolves attempting to join need 4 successful days in a row in order to join the Alhavenlan Pack. However, if they fail too many times in a row they will go on cooldown for a day and will be able to make another attempt at joining at a later date. Additionally, disadvantage may be applied to a wolf's rolls depending on the pack's current events but they may have a chance at removing it later on if they do well enough with helping the pack. Author's Note: This rule is currently being tested! Things may change with this rule at a later date or even removed entirely if it doesn't work out. I'm also currently testing this with the new socialization feature instead of rolling dice! 11. When the entire pack is on the brink of starvation, a hunting team will have a chance to receive 1 emergency hunt. This is due to the fact that the pack is desperate and is willing to push themselves to hunt one more time. A coin will be flipped to determine what team receives an emergency hunt. Heads = the team successfully rallies and gains an extra hunt. Tails = The team fails to rally themselves due to their hunger.
Lethal Illness Rule Lethal illnesses like Heatstroke, Poison and Pox(For Pups) are a death sentence. However, they will have a slight chance at survival. I'll be treating Heatstroke, Poison, and Pox(For Pups) in a similar way to how Death Saves work in D&D 5e. The wolves will need to roll a 12 or higher in order for it to count as a success. The wolf will roll for 3 rollovers and it starts the day they contract the illness. Rolling a Natural 1 counts as two failures while a Natural 20 counts as an automatic success and the wolf survives. Note: The wolf will be rolling at a disadvantage for 3 days after shaking off the lethal illness making it harder to recover from any illness they catch or develop afterwards. (Disadvantage means I'll roll two d20s and take the lower number.) But, this rule excludes Distemper, Influenza, and Infection illnesses. Author's Note: I do have a separate dice roll table for the 3 exclusions and this new Death Saving rule is still being tested so I may adjust it or tweak it in the future! |

Summer // Year 7Alpha Ella & Alpha Varogathe Offspring No offspring currently from these two. With spring ending and summer taking over the pack's territory, the Alhavenlan Pack situate themselves in the western side of their territory to more easily protect their den site due to the recent influx of puppies. A hunter or two is also expecting pups within the next few days so the pack has stuck close to minimize travel time. Pack Researcher Journal |

Autumn // Year 8Alpha Ella & Alpha Varogathe Offspring No offspring currently from these two. With the arrival of Fall, the pack has begun to prepare themselves for another harsh winter and have situated themselves closer to the southern section of their territory in hopes to have an easier time tracking the elk herds that call the Coniferous Forest their home. As far as hunts go lately, Team 2 has been struggling due to an influx of new hunters. The team's main stalker, Eshtarylin, has retired and since moved into the elder's den leaving Adhlea to take over her role with very little training. There has also been new chasers introduced to the team like Terys and Thalia however they've adjusted easily to their new roles. Team 1 on the other hand has yet to replace any of their members and has been hunting regularly in the Coniferous Forest to aid in tracking the elk herds. The pack can only hope Team 2 can catch up in time for winter, otherwise it may get a lot worse for the pack this time around. Pack Researcher Journal |
