Meet the Matchmaker Welcome to our February event - The Matchmaker! This month you will meet some very special wolves while helping a new friend run a Matchmaking business. Matchmaking Make long-lasting matches - this side of the event will allow you to recruit clients, pair them up on experimental dates, and choose final matches for them. All wolves have preferences, and it's up to you to find good matches and fix them up! You can have up to 10 wolves in the agency at any time, but you'll still get new wolves wanting to apply. You can check for a new applicant every hour, and if you have people waiting and you free up a space, you can invite them in to find their match!  Dating You can also choose to date - while recruiting clients, some wolves may show up interested in you! Take your pick of the clients, bring them gifts they like (or hate... your choice!), and show them your favourite areas in the game. Be careful, they have their own preferences though! You can gift and date each wolf once per day. Both successful and unsuccessful dates will reveal their likes and dislikes, which can help you out with having the best date ever (or sabotaging the date, if that's more your style)! For every positive aspect about a date, you can earn more towards an NPC's affection bar, and they'll become more and more comfortable and happy to be around you. If you don't pay attention to an NPC's preferences, though, you may reach a point with them where they refuse to date you.   Daily QuestThere is a daily quest to complete - Eranthis suggests you go and spread the word about the matchmaking business. This can be completed with the usual wolves that you can claim or attack. Completing this quest gains 5 new applicants and, if any pending dateables are left, 1 new dateable. Note: There is a new February encounter that looks as though this should be part of the daily quest, but it is not - we will adjust this in the future to be less ambiguous. New ItemsTwo new "types" of Lore items have been added to the game which are currently used exclusively for February dating and matchmaking - Gemstones and Flowers. They can be used for gifting - some wolves may like them, some may not!       Shop!The new shop, Boutique of Delights, will be a timed unlock this year - the 18th February, 25th February and 4th March will see each tier unlock. A new currency - Lovebugs - can be collected from matching, dating, a daily quest, and various new explore encounters that can be found throughout the entire event! Items can be found in the Item Catalogue ahead of the shop unlocks, and any that are decorative or have visual effects (such as Base Applicators, etc) can be seen in the Wardrobe. More items may be added throughout the month before their tier unlocks though, so keep your eyes peeled! Featured Items
Passion eyes can pass Passion and will fail to Blue, Ice, Green, and Red. Rose eyes can pass Rose and will fail to Red, White, and Clay. New BasesTwo new bases can be acquired this month from applicators - Hydrangea and Amor.   We sincerely hope you have fun this event, and we look forward to expanding on it in future years! This was intended to be the February event, and in future years will begin on the 1st February and last until midnight on the 28th. As we are starting late, the event will last until 23:59:59 (aka midnight) on the 13th March. |
