Background:
The world as we once knew it was long gone. It had been 8 years since the outbreak had become global, and no one knew how many living people there were left. Most people stopped looking for friends and family, and in the last year or so people had stopped looking even for strangers. You were lucky if you were in a group, that was you weren't stranded alone in this hell. Those who had been alone either wilted under the pressure to live or they became hard to the world around them. The ones who became hard seemed to only care for their own survival and were willing to do anything they needed to survive.
Now that the numbers of zombies had become consistent, maybe even dropped a little, everyone knew that those who were going to die, have. Those who were living were now even more estranged from their past. If anyone had memories of the old world they were fuzzy, and a majority of them had become tainted by the people in them.

"A little help here would be nice," Charlie rolled their eyes and look at Seth across from them, "I'm on empty." Their gun clicked as they pulled the trigger, no bullet available to come out which left them with the dull pocket knife they hadn't needed to use in who-knows how long. As they stood on the caved-in car roof, they couldn't help but think about how they had gotten here. This situation is how they and Seth had met, except Seth was the one in trouble and they had saved him. Before meeting Seth they had been alone and reluctant to be friendly with anyone, but his warm personality drew them in. He always teased them about the way things started, how closed off they had been, pretending like they were forced to stick with him.
They heard glass shatter and turned, empty gun raised, to look in the direction the sound came from. A majority of the undead surrounding them wandered towards the noise, but a couple stayed with them by the car. Luckily, Seth had half a clip and took them out quickly, allowing both of them to escape before the zombies came shuffling back to the echoing sound of the gunshots. "A little familiar huh?" he laughed softly as they ran for cover, ducking into a desolate store just to recollect themselves.

The warm sun beat into the living room of the farmhouse, through the hole ridden curtains, meeting the sleeping figure of Kat. The farm was quiet, and she considered themselves and Stella lucky to have found such a place. The initial clearing of the creatures had been a bit stressful, but the two of them had managed to reign back in some livestock. With the farmland and animals neither of them had to go out often. Natalia sat up, slowly rising from the couch to stretch. The place still needed some cleaning, and neither of them had been brave enough to go into the basement opting to keep both the interior and exterior door locked. A quick glance through the window told her that she'd missed a fair bit of the morning already.
Stella had already made her way out to the barn, letting the livestock out to graze the field. By keeping them in at night, Stella and Kat figured they'd keep away the zombies as well as those seeking food or shelter still. It had been a while since she had seen any other people, but they knew of a few people in the neighboring houses. It seemed that, as things had calmed, everyone who remained had found a place to settle. Bartering for an exchange of goods when one base/camp ran out of something and another had abundance. This was how they'd come across some of the seeds needed for crops. They had ended up a few chickens short, but the person Stella and Kat had traded with was very thankful for what they were able to provide. Plus, they were able to provide the chickens once they had produced more.

Charlie - group one - they/them

Their back met the harsh metal of a car with a sunken in roof. A sedan, something easy to make it on top of, but it didn't seem like it would keep Charlie far from the creatures that were after them Two shots fired knocking down the zombies that were closest to Charlie before they turned and quickly climbed onto the car. Luckily, the roof was sunken in enough to make itself a bit under chest height compared to their body which made it easy to propel themselves up even with a weaker upper body. Their legs were quickly drawn up as they centered themselves on the roof, squatting to make it easier to take in a 360 of the situation. Hands slammed onto the trunk causing them to startle and fall back onto the roof. Gun raised, Charlie quickly fired, but nothing happened. Clicking was all that came of the repeated firing attempts. "Shit," Charlie groaned getting fully on their feet. Where the hell was Seth?

They hadn't travelled alone since they'd come upon Seth, but with both of them being a bit isolated they tended to stray from each other once they had deemed the area scoutable. Perhaps, Charlie thought, they should just settle down the way it seemed many had. The numbers of Z's were declining though which made adventuring less risky, and they loved the thrill of the unexpected. Plus, the traveling was nice. They'd never admit it, but it was nice to have Seth's company as well. Unfortunately, the creatures continued to shuffle their direction, and their was no signs of their companion. "Seth!" They shouted knowing that it would likely draw more attention. Pocket knife quickly drawn, they held it in a way to slash against the zombies that continued to close in. "A little help would be lovely; I have found myself in a bit of a pickle!" Quite a poetic pickle, they thought. This was similar to how the two had met, but Charlie had been the rescuer that time.

Stella - group 2 - she/her

The sun was warm on her tan skin while she led the few horses out into their pen. It was just as quiet as usual, and she was so happy to be having another day in the sun. As the numbers seemed to level everything had calmed down, but there was always the threat of stranger or desperate people trying to steal or attack. Sure, the numbers had leveled but the supplies remained the same. Those who settled seemed to have methods of keeping themselves and their encampments sustained, and Stella hoped that the methods people were using wouldn't fail them out of nowhere. She and Kat used farming as the main source of food as well, but it was always scary to wait for the crops to come up. The smaller gardens were always consistent, but the field crops like beans were always a bit more stressful because they took longer to come up. Their chicken also provided a source of protein to the two girls.

The neighbors were distant, but Stella preferred it that way. As the horse began to roam on their own she returned back to the cover of the barn. The previous owners had left some tack, but without care the leather had become a bit weathered. She was trying to learn how to fix and care for what had survived the best, but it wasn't super easy. The supplies laid around the barn and home, but the application was something she'd had to teach herself. The few pieces she'd chosen to keep seemed newer, and it was evident that they'd been given a protective coating which had kept the top side of the leather is pretty good shape. The cleaning was something she had carefully read the packages to learn and tried on older junk tack to make sure she fully understood what she was doing. Often, she would find herself in situations like this where she was so honed in on what she's doing that the ambience of the world seemed to fade to nothing. Because she'd finally mastered the care and cleaning, at least in her opinion, she intended on learning how to ride the horses. Over the time they'd been settled here she had been carefully interacting with and befriending the horses.  A few days back she put halters on them all to see how their reactions would be to see who was the least intimidated by it all after such a long time. Today, she was gonna narrow the two that had made it through that test even further with the saddle. Both of the horses seemed to have a calmer disposition, but one was older which seemed like the initial subject of her test. Stella would have to go grab Kat though, to hold the horse, that way they could keep from getting injured should anyone spook.

Seth-Group One- He/him

Seth had been scouting the surrounding area, spear in hand and knife strapped to his ankle holster. He had come across a few zombies or so, but nothing too crazy. He also had a revolver in a side holster, but it wasn't his favorite weapon to use, he found it too loud, and loud sounds only brought about danger. Speaking of loud noises, the young man had heard his name being shouted from somewhere to his right. He recognized the voice as his companion Charlie. He had met Charlie not long before and the two of them had decided to group together... for now anyways. Seth had been a lone wolf for a long time before he met them, but she was the first person he had come across that didn't annoy him. Plus, he kinda owed her since she had saved him from a dangerous situation. Which... was actually quite similar to what was happening now, he realized as he charged over to assist Charlie. He aimed his spear before throwing it, taking down three Z's. He then pulled out his revolver and took aim, firing it a few times once he thought he had a good shot.

Once Charlie had a clear path he yelled out. "Let's get out of here before more come back!" He took a moment to collect his spear before taking off, though he paused a few feet away. Looking over his shoulder to make sure that his companion was following. He could hear the groaning and shuffling coming from the Z's that had heard the loud gunshots. "This looks familiar doesn't it?" He chuckled sarcastically.

Kat -Group Two- She/her

Natalia, otherwise known as Kat, woke up to the sun peeking in through the holes of the curtains. She rubbed her eyes with a weak groan and a feeling of grogginess washed over her. Already she could tell that she had overslept, or at least in her opinion she had. Kat normally woke up before the sun appeared in the sky, always wanting to get a head start. However last night she hadn't slept very well, plagued with nightmares and uneasy thoughts. She carefully sat up and began to stretch out her stiff muscles. She was sure that Stella was awake by now, and she wondered what her companion had gotten up to while she was sleeping. Once she had properly woken up, Kat got ready and made her way outside.

From where she stood on the porch, she could see the horses out in the small field and that helped her figure out where Stella was considering the two girls had agreed to never leave the horses out unattended. Sticking her hands in the pockets of her zip up hoodie, Kat made her way down to the barn area. Along the way she passed her homemade archery range where she practiced with her crossbow and her compound bow almost daily, wanting to make sure that her skills remained sharp. She didn't want to be unprepared if Z's or just people wishing to harm the girls' little safe haven. Plus, every so often she would go out into the woods nearby and hunt for turkey or other game. Though they had chickens and farmed for their food and even traded with other survivors, it wasn't always enough to support them. So, Kat did her part to make sure they both stayed alive and healthy. It was her way of contributing besides taking her turn to watch and care for the horses or to tend to their chickens. Kat loved animals and so when the two girls had found the farm she was absolutely thrilled. She used to ride horses back in middle school before everything had gone down, but it had been years and her skills were very rusty. As she approached the pens, she soon spotted Stella near the barn itself and she waved in greeting. "Hey Stella, thanks for letting me sleep in a little." Kat managed an apologetic smile. She didn't like sleeping in, but it happened and that was that.

Charlie - group one - they/them

They released a breath they hadn't realized they'd been holding as Seth approached. Finally, they thought, safety (savior) had come. As they climbed carefully off the roof their eyes met Seth's, rolling their own before breaking eye contact. "The last time we played cat and mouse, I remember someone else being the mouse," they laughed as they brushed past him. Charlie was thankful despite how it may have seemed to others. This was how the pair tended to relate, sarcastic remarks or otherwise snark. The dynamic may have seemed odd to some, but it was comfortable to Charlie. It had been a long time since they had ever considered keeping someone around or considered the wellbeing of another in unison with their own, but Seth was okay. He was resourceful, and having an extra set of eyes and skills never seemed to hurt.

"We can dig around inside," they gestured to the large rolling door they'd come through, "Close up shop and well shop." They figured that there wasn't much left to find, but the two of them were what others might call scavengers. People who chose not to settle down and to keep pushing through the world post zombie invasion. While zombie numbers began to decline it seemed more and more likely people would start seeing others who were alive, and Charlie hoped if this ever happened it wouldn't be with other scavengers. They didn't fancy themselves a killer, and other groups may be inclined to threaten or harm for supplies. Those who settled certainly had a constant source of sustenance, but the scavengers enjoy the hunt, the scouting. "You know, this place is kinda large. We will have to recollect and figure out a place that might have ammo," the brunette spoke, "Unless you want me fending things off like this." They slashed out jokingly with the knife, making a mockery of how they may have to fight with it.

Stella - group two - she/her

Stella walked back into the sun, letting the rays dance across her skin. A lovely day, perhaps a bit too warm for her taste, but it was beautiful outside. To think so many days like this had likely gone unnoticed because of the carnage and desperation for survival. It was nice to be able to soak it all in every day, Stella thought; she would never take something like this for granted again. She wondered if anyone had really holed themselves up in dank bunkers like those end of the world conspiracy theorists had always suggested; had those who chose to go that way really survived or had they just gone crazy?

Stella's attention turned towards the house as the gentle thud of the backdoor had reached her. "Good morning! I had some stuff I wanted to work on and didn't feel the need to wake you, but now that you're here you can help me!" Her tone was full of pure excitement. They figured that if Kat could combine her bow skills with horseback riding they would make quite the pair of hunters in the woods. She'd be the eyes of course, making sure nothing or no one threatened them, and she'd be able to look around for potential prey. "Today is the day I want to try the saddles. I don't need to get on the horse today, but I would really like to see who is most comfortable. In order to do this effectively I will need you to hold them. One at a time of course, I'm not crazy."

Seth-Group One-He/him

"Yeah, whatever." Seth scoffed. Despite his annoyed tone, he actually didn't mind Charlie teasing him. They were the only person who could get away with making a snarky comment or tease him without getting smacked. As the two hurried away from the danger zone, he kept an eye on their surroundings in case any Z's crept up on them and took the pair by surprise. After what happened to his brother, Seth was overly cautious about being aware of his surroundings at all times. He hadn't even told Charlie what had happened to his brother, just that he was gone now. When they had met, he decided that any personal information would be strictly on a need-to-know basis. So, he only told her the basics. His name, age, the skills he thought would be beneficial for their survival, and that he had family once but no longer. Just because the two had their strange, snarky dynamic and worked surprisingly well together, didn't mean that he was planning on sticking around forever.

Seth watched the brunette and gave a small snort of amusement. "Yeah, okay. Your stance is terrible." He commented. The young man knew that she was joking, and he managed one of his rare smiles to show that he wasn't being malicious despite his snarky comments. He then observed the shop cautiously, weighing the pros and cons. He didn't want to make any rash decisions. Who knew what lay hidden inside the building? He gave a small shake of his head, they were tough. He and Charlie would have no problem defending themselves so long as they remained calm and logical. "Let's get to it then."

Kat- Group Two - She/her

Kat couldn't help but giggle at Stella's comment and she shook her head. "Being a little crazy isn't such a bad thing. My dad always said that being crazy just made things more entertaining." She looked around at the horses, her expression curious and thoughtful. "Any horse in particular? I know you mentioned the other day that you were trying to get them re-used to the harnesses." The young woman was more than willing to help Stella with her project, she was just as excited about it. And the chance to ride again was just as thrilling, but she knew that they still had to be careful. What with the zombies out there, strange and dangerous people, and even the simple fact that the horses had essentially been wild up until a few weeks prior. Kat slowly approached the fence, still paying attention to Stella for when the other girl spoke. Her eyes were focused on one horse in particular, an older gelding who seemed like he had a peaceful temper all things considered. She knew she probably shouldn't, but she had considered suggesting names for the horses. Plus, she was just kind of nerdy like that.

Charlie - group one - the/them

Charlie laughed in response to Seth's smile and their own goofing off. "Wow, I have really turned the tides of the day. We will make it quick here. Seems a little populated if you catch my drift," they slid underneath what at some point had been a counter top. The glass had been busted out and the shelves had been cracked apart, wood, so everything around them was jagged as they held themselves up to get through. Charlie had twisted mid way to put her hands on the base of the case instead of trying to hold themselves up using the lip on either side of the counter top. Through the glass and wood on the floor Charlie saw nothing but garbage. No gun under the counter and no safe back there either, the objects on the top of the counter were sodden, rotting no doubt.

"Maybe there's a surveillance room or something. They keeps safes in those right? If we get in maybe they'd also keep ammo back there. Not that this seems like a secure place. Probably a breakroom though, and if we are lucky the cabinets will have some canned goods left over." They knew not to get their hopes up, especially after they had taken in the full state of the store. Climbing up, they sat themselves on the counter, relaxing even if it was short-lived.

Stella - group two - she/her

"The older one," she pointed, "and that one were okay with the halters. The other one is a bit jumpy. Seems young. I don't know how to really age a horse, but my bet is that it was a baby when this all started. Shocker it lived if that's the case, but it came up well size wise at least. Hopefully over time it'll warm up to the tack because it warmed up to me decently quick." Stella pulled the halter and attached reins off the wall and handed them to Kat. "I feel like now is the time to tell you that I have no idea how to ride a horse, but I am hopeful that the learning curve will be short!" Her optimism likely shined as bright as the sun as she offered Kat a full smile. She pulled the saddle over the wooden rest where it had sat. It needed some fixing up, but she'd managed to layer some older fabrics over it that seemed to keep the splinters from reaching the inside of the saddle.

As it rested along her arms she felt gently with her hands along the bottom. If any splinters had split through she had wanted to be the one who caught them and not the horse because she figured it would just set the entire process back a bit. "Maybe we should name them," she chimed, "It'd make it a lot easier than just pointing and saying 'that one'. Plus, it makes them more like a part of the family which is good because then we will strengthen our bonds right?"

Seth - Group One - He/him

Seth snickered at her joke, unable to help himself. "True, it does seem rather busy 'round here. Wouldn't want to disturb the locals too much." He added jokingly. He paused, thinking to himself before nodding in agreement. "I mean, it's where I would keep a safe. And if not the surveillance room, there might be offices we could check. A supervisor or a manager might have an office of their own." It was a long shot given the state of the store, another scavenger may have already beaten them to it. But he supposed it didn't hurt to at least look around. "Maybe we could stock up on food while we're here, there's gotta be something we could salvage." Due to the way the world had been, if a person didn't farm their own food, then scavenging for food was a must.

And given the fact that he and Charlie had both travelled extensively, there was no time to start up a farm. He supposed it might make things easier, having a legitimate place to settle down and call home. But there were perks to living like a rogue and going wherever one pleased. Plus, it was honestly a bit of a thrill to live the way he and Charlie did. It wasn't what he thought his life would look like and it certainly what he had chosen willingly, but he was ready to make the most of it and do what he had to do to survive.

Kat - Group Two - She/her

Kat listened to her companion with a thoughtful expression. She was glad that Stella seemed to agree about naming the horses and she smile, grateful that she wasn't alone in thinking that naming the horses strengthened their bond with them. "Well, I can definitely try and teach you, but I'm a little rusty myself. As for their age, you can guess a horse's age by their teeth. It's not 100% accurate but it's your best bet." Kat explained. She glanced over at Stella and smiled softly. "I do agree with your guess about the skittish horse, if it's not as comfortable around people then it must not have had much contact with humans before all of this happened. Or if it did have contact with people then it's owners didn't get very far with training." In all honesty, Kat was grateful that her companion seemed to share her optimism, she couldn't imagine trying to live peacefully with someone who was grumpy and a total pessimist.

Turning back to observe the horses while Kat fiddled with the saddle, she added. "I think I've thought of a name for the gelding." If she remembered correctly, the grey gelding was a quarter horse. He stood at 14.6 hands and wasn't overly stocky, but also wasn't of a lighter build. The grey quarter horse was perhaps her favorite of the bunch, he had a gentle temper and seemed curious about the world around him. She liked that. "Sherlock." Kat added as an afterthought.

Charlie - group one - they/them

They slid off the counter, boots landing on shattered glass that crunched under their weight. "I'm not sure we'd be able to bust open a safe, but surely there's a paper with the code or some keys set around somewhere. If it's one of those newer ones with the electronic keypad maybe the battery being out means it'll just open? If not at least it'll hopefully be a bit easier to bust into." Charlie nodded in agreement to Seth's want to search for food. It was clear he'd had the same thoughts about the store being picked over that they did, but it never hurt to check. If they didn't there was always a chance the two had left a good haul behind, and Charlie didn't like not knowing if or if not. Now that time wasn't really a factor in looting places it was a lot easier to take a thorough look around rather than busting in for supplies and rushing out with whatever scraps you could find.

They made a pushing gesture ahead of their body. "After you," they smiled adding a bit of a sarcastic bow. The way they lived was nice, but Charlie wondered if they only felt that way because it was so familiar. They wondered if the idea of settling down had never come to their mind because of what they had originally gone through in their home with their family; the idea of such a domestic setting seemed to make their stomach churn. They couldn't imagine the initial stress of finding a location. Plus, they were certain most places would have some cleaning that needed to be done, and they weren't sure if they'd be able to stomach such a thing. Charlie wasn't very learned about Seth's history, and they'd never felt the need to ask because they didn't want to share their story either. They wondered if Seth operated as a rogue for the same reasons, the same feelings, or perhaps he was just going along with it because he felt the need to stay with Charlie after they saved him or he secretly enjoyed the company after so long. "Thanks for saving me," they spoke, "I don't think I actually thanked you initially."

Stella - group two - she/her

"Their teeth?!" Her eyes widened with shock. What an odd way to tell someone's age, but humans could be aged by bones and identified by teeth so. "How odd. What if they get some disease or they don't eat good enough or they are bad brushers?" She laughed gently a bit at the latter part of that statement. "Sherlock is great, let's just hope that curiosity doesn't mean he's undisciplined." She couldn't imagine what it'd be like to ride a horse that led the rider instead of the other way around. Sure, it'd be nice if they got lost and the horse could take them home, but if the horse refused to go the path the rider had determined who knew where they'd end up. "Do you think that we should put the skittish one back in the barn or in a different pasture area while we do this? I don't know if it'll spook from what we do, and I'm worried if one does the rest will go with it." The older horse was decently large, at least from the horses Stella could remember. It wasn't a draft horse or anything bigger in the working breeds, but it was still the biggest horse she'd interacted with.

The younger horse walked well with someone, but the tether had to be a loose lasso type of situation because the halter freaked them out a bit. Originally, Stella had though about pushing the younger one to like the halter through exposure, but it didn't seem fair to stress the horse now when they had other options that weren't as bothered by it. Of course, they'd have to teach it eventually, but the time wasn't now, at least in her eyes. "I would really appreciate your guidance. If we learn alongside each other I am sure things will come back to you, and then you will be able to share them with me. It's like riding a bike right? At least we will pretend it is for now because you never really forget how to ride a bike after you've been taught no matter how long it's been since you were last on one."

Seth - Group One - He/him

Seth hummed quietly under his breath as he thought to himself. "Well, we might be able to bust it open." He conceded. "But I've got my Swiss army knife that I found last week when we were scavenging. I might be able to pick the lock if it comes down to it." He heard Charlie and looked up from where he had been looking, and he watched as she bowed. "The world may have died, but clearly chivalry did not." Seth teased. He started walking towards the back, though he held his spear in one hand. His grip tight as he readied himself for anything that jumped out at him. The shop was considerably quiet, despite the minor noise he and Charlie made. But that didn't mean that someone or something wasn't lurking or just lying-in wait. Hearing Charlie's comment, he glanced back while still making sure to remain alert. "Oh yeah, I guess you didn't. But to be fair, we were in the middle of making a grand exit from our adoring fans." Seth answered, slightly sarcastic.

He gave her a rare cheshire cat grin, mostly as a joke, before adding. "But you are very welcome, Charlie. Guess that makes us even Steven." The young man's grin faded back into his usual neutral expression before he kept walking. Noticing some supplies on the shelf, he paused and carefully leaned his spear against the shelf before sliding his backpack off of his shoulders. He zipped it open and began to carefully add the supplies to his bag. "Got some bandages, rubbing alcohol, and cotton swabs." Seth informed. It wasn't a bad find.

Kat - Group Two - She/her

Kat grinned at Stella's joke but gave a light shrug of her shoulders to show that she wasn't sure of the answer. "Curiosity doesn't mean that he's undisciplined. It actually helps the horse to learn that something is okay. Like a rustling plastic bag for example, the noise might spook the horse a little, but once the horse investigates then it's curiosity will be satisfied and learn that there's no harm. It's like a little kid learning almost. But yeah, it's good for the rider to exercise caution though so that the horse doesn't hurt itself." It was more of an opinion than a fact. She bit her bottom lip in contemplation of Stella's question.

"I'm not sure, horses are herd animals and so a skittish horse will make lots of noise and might hurt itself if we separate it from the herd by placing it back in the stall. But I'm also not sure about placing it in another pen, what if something happens and we aren't able to help in time?" She reasoned after a few moments of thinking. Kat didn't want to put the horse in another area because if a zombie came around and attacked the horse, it'd be done for before they even got there. However, she might have just been overly anxious about it. Things had seemed pretty quiet since they had arrived at the ranch. "Yeah, it's no problem. For the most part, I'm relearning everything as we go. But hopefully I remember a few things that can help us." Kat added as an afterthought, looking towards Stella.

Charlie - group one - they/them

Their pace matched Seth's as the two began to make their way through the shop. "I remain chivalrous through it all; it's why you like me," they teased. The soles of their boots left prints in the thick layer of the dust as they stepped; their eyes remained on the floor to watch them form, keeping pace by listening to his steps. 'Even Steven' they supposed that was correct. That eye for an eye exchange had finally been complete, and they admitted to themself that they were worried Seth would leave. They slowed to a halt as Seth's steps had grown completely silent. "Nice, those things are always useful," they noted. The temptation to grip his spear just to tease him was rip in their mind, but they also didn't want to cause any unnecessary stress or tension. Why had that been his weapon of choice? Charlie didn't know nor did they ever really think to ask. He seemed skilled enough with it that it was reasonable to believe he had experience with spears or something similar before everything had gone down.

"Keep your head forward or down," they spoke as their own head tilted back to being level. "The ceiling tiles have rotted, most of them, and the roof seems to be rotting as well. best we don't get that in eyes, nose or mouth. Wipe your hands before touching your face or anything." There was no way of knowing for sure that all of the powder of the floor was dust. It seemed unreasonable to jump to a real threat like asbestos, but Charlie couldn't help but consider. They had taken their pocket knife from their pocket and twirled the dull tip against their palm. Having the weapon on hand made them feel more prepared if anything emerged and came for them.

Stella - group two - she/her

"I don't intend on holding the horses intentionally near him at the very least, keeps the perceived threat a bit away. I won't shun him should he approach, but I fear for what could happen if they startle. They're just very large, and I find that a bit threatening," Stella admitted, shifting the saddle around on their arms a bit. It had gotten increasingly heavy as the two stood and chatted, but she didn't want to say anything. It was cool that Kat had so much information to share, and Stella made a note to ask her about more later. Hopefully Kat would be willing to give her the knowledge that could help them get a real start on all of this, and she'd be able to share important stuff to look out for.

"I believe that it is easier to relearn over learning for the first time. When you learn in that sort of review format you're able to take what you know, reflect, expand, and adjust on techniques and understanding.
