🐻Bearlings🐻

Welcome to Bearlings, an interactive game centered around small mystical being known as Bearlings. These creatures appear to be a mix of insect and bear. They range in size and color and have translucent wings with which they use to flutter to each plant to pollinate. They are sociable and loving companions who thrive in groups or with a beloved owner.

To explore, simply reply to this thread saying where and send the fee.

How Do I Get One?

Bearlings can be found all over the world, though they tend to prefer the Prairie, Forest, Beach, Cave, and Mountains. Due to their small size, these creatures are difficult to find. Explorers have often remarked that they never even knew there was a Bearling around until it was resting in their hair.

Occassionally, domesticated Bearlings are sold. These are Bearlings that have been bred to be the perfect companion for their owner. Sold Bearlings may have a rare coat, wings, eyes, or markings. They may also be sold with clothing or mutations.

Bearling Varieties

Bearlings come in a variety of different coats. Both females and males have neck fluff and wings, though females tend to be larger. They can range in color, though are typically gray, brown, red, or green. Their markings vary depending on their rarity.

Bearling mutations are rare. They may be fluffier, have larger or smaller wings, multiple sets of eyes, or have a piebald coat. Parents can pass their mutation to their offspring, but two unmutated Bearlings cannot unless one comes from a mutated parent.

Exploration Payment

While most explorers pay with SC or GC, some may decide to pay with items. In these cases, the items they pay with must at least have the same value as what they are buying. If the value of the item exceeds the cost, the explorer will receive Explore Tokens. One explore token is equal to the cost of 1 GC. The explorer may use their tokens at any time for any reason (exploring, buying items/Bearlings, breeding, etc.), with the exception of exploring Event Areas unless explicitly stated.

Bearling Breeding

Bearlings mate for life and often have close knit communities they view as family. A male and a female Bearling are only able to mate after a pair bond has been established and if the female has been given Boysenberries, after which the female will give birth in 3 days. A Bearling litter can range from 1-4 pups.

Breeding is currently available.

Breeding Items

Items that can be used to assist a female during her pregnancy can be bought or found. They may affect litter size, the sex of the pups, or the likelihood of a mutation passing from parent to offspring.

Rose Petal

Receiving a Rose Petal is a sign of courtship in Bearlings. Giving one to a Bearling to gift to another establishes a Pair Bond.

Mayfly Explores The Cave

Carefully, you enter the dark cave. You know that Bearlings enjoy resting here and you were eager to meet some. All around you, water drips down the end of intimidating stalactites. Your berry bag is heavy in your pocket. You reach the back of the cave and see it separates into two long, dark tunnels. The right one is a steep hill going down. You can hear eager chittering. The left tunnel slopes up and you believe that if you look close enough, you can see a faint glow. Where will you go?

A) Follow the right tunnel
B) Follow the left tunnel

You follow the right tunnel. your boots becoming wet as you wade through small puddles of water. Finally, after what seemed like forever, you stumbled down into a den. While you couldn't see them, it was clear there were Bearlings around. Fur and discarded berry seeds littered the rocks nearest to where you stood. Do you try to call for them or find them?

A) Call Out
B) Search The Area
