hi, you can call me jupiter/jupi. i've played wolvden on and off since 2020, and i have a pack that i'm now proud of! in my time on this game, i've made mistakes and learned from them, as well as done plenty of research. this community was nothing short of kind and helpful when i first started, so i would love to contribute to that! please, if you have any questions or want to know how things work, let me know. i go on frequent hiatuses, please be sure i've been recently active before posting.

i can also help with food/amusement, just pm me if you need any!

and if you want anyone to chat with, or would prefer asking questions in PMs, my messages are always open. you could also add me on discord (shallowthenhalo) for fast responses and mentoring. thank you!

quick faq for your convenience:

"why aren't my wolves getting along in hunts?" personality guide
"how do i befriend wolves? what do the symbols mean?" nbw guide

Heyy, i started 3 days ago and some wolves in my pack are going hungry but I can't hunt so i have no food to feed them- i don't want them to leave though! Do you have any tips?

hey! why can't you hunt? i noticed you have two wolves without a role. i'd suggest making them both hunters so you have a chance to get some extra food. while exploring, you can also find some small-medium carcasses, as well as meat chunks from battling enemies. if you have the time, it's best to log in and explore at least every few hours. you can get some good exp and food/herbs/amusement from it!

another thing i would recommend is making as much sc is possible. sc can help you in pinches like this, because you can go ahead and buy food from the trading center. sc is also used to expand your pack, which is nice because more wolves means more resources! one way i like to make sc is by crafting cure-fur-alls with the herbalist, then trading them into the raccoon.

one last tip i'd give you is to only have as many wolves as you can handle. you can have one leader, one herbalist, 5 hunters, and 2 scouts. any more than that at your point in the game might be too much for you to handle and end up in you not having enough food or play items.

please let me know if you need more help!

Thanks for the tips! I cannot hunt because when i go to selct a role for my wolves it only says "herbalist".I'm not sure if you make them hunters any other way but thanks again, i will use your tips :)

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to get more enrichment items, I find them when exploring but they run out so fast it seems!

hey @songbird! i have 3 tips that might help you find more amusement :-)

1. get two scouts and have them rescout areas for you. they'll usually bring back 2 amusement items per scout.

2. know what choices to make in explore. some explore encounters will give you lots of amusement if you know which buttons to press. look up "optional encounters" in the wolvden wiki and try to memorize them for the biome you most frequently explore in. it might take a while, but it very quickly becomes muscle memory!

3. log in and explore more. i know this sounds kinda obvious, but if you are exploring less than 3 times a day, it will be really hard to sustain your pack. wolvden is definitely one of those games where you log in every few hours, spend ten minutes doing dailies, and get off.

i hope this helped !
