Community Update #46

Posted 2022-06-20 16:28:39
@Emerald we are free to express we are uncomfortable with having gigantic honkers on the wolf art. Yes the game is 16+ but there will always be some of us that dont like looking at them and we are allowed to make ourselves heard and hopefully accomodated for,

especially since its likely gonna end up being the focus of one of our monthly updates essentially being our content for the month that it gets posted.

Also i highly doubt it will be hard especially since the arts almost certainly not started on yet and no ones going to go "the tiddies on this wolf isnt big enough and that makes me uncomfortable" so i dont see why this is not a valid suggestion/protest

Ps: we are asking for smaller nipples not to completely delete the nipples we just dont want them to be like the ones lioden has

Animals having prominent teats isn't giving them "gigantic honkers" the fck?
Just give people a toggle to disable it if they don't like it.

I'm definitely pro pregnancy pose. This has been something in Game Development since the beginning and something I am personally looking forward too. I would be saddened if it would be removed suddenly from the game, even if it was a feature that took years to come. I was quick to buy the puppy poses and the more personality and difference among my pack, the better. I feel it makes it more like a living, breathing pack.

Also to the point that it makes more work for the artists, I would argue that Anthro Wardrobe is also a heavy use of artist resources. As it is constantly being updated with all the bases, markings, etc and is only a minigame. They've also mentioned adding new poses to the wardrobe every holiday season. So if this is to be a feature of the website, I definitely don't mind artist resources going towards a pose that many will see on a daily basis.

That being said, I do think it should be togged for those who don't want it. And I would prefer large belly myself, laying down, with no nipples. Something like the Nesting Pose shown on the den. <3

Thats just how i see it so 🤷‍♀️
I frankly dont know why it makes me feel so uncomfortable, im aware its completely irrational, but either way it does make me feel uncomfortable and wish theyd either A make it so that its not as prominent compared to the one over at lio B sell it in the grove like they do for pup stages or C give us a toggle button so i can turn it off

though obviously ide prefer the first one cus it means i dont go a month with no content

i dont see why ur so mad that we are asking for accomodations,
its similiar to a person scared of creepy crawlies asking not to be shown or given creepy crawlies

@ Emerald -

The way I see it is

A) this pose will represent EVERY nested wolf
B) for the duration of their nesting
C) in a game with art made for looking at.

Thus I would prefer said pose to be fairly neutral, and not a dynamic pose positioned specifically to show off big engorged nipples. Because while it's fine that wolves have nipples, and I am unbothered seeing them (Nip Nops/Mom Bod custom decor is cute and fine imo for example), I don't want to look at particularly large and swollen ones specifically shown off towards the camera for every nested wolf I have.

I'm saying this as someone with something like 60 r&c breeder wolves. It'd be cool to have a nesting pose but I wouldn't use it if it was particularly nippley ala the lioden pose.

Here's a picture of an 8 weeks (out of approx 9 weeks gestation) pregnant german shepherd I found on google!

You can want Big Obvious Nipple Wolf, that's fine, but you can express your opinion without calling people immature and accusing them of not knowing what real animals look like :'D

*

Anyways, with that out the way, gonna add that the pregnant wolf pose from Grove is perfect imo (could be more obvious but it's a good level of "casual"/resting/neutral vibe)

It varies female by female and isn't... piglike... really???

Referring specifically to the Lioden art, here is a pregnant lioness . Unlike a well-fed shorthaired domestic dog with a large litter, I don't think many wild carnivores like lions or wolves would look that exaggerated. I've taken care of pregnant dogs. To me making the pose in the Lioden style would just be as distracting as updating all the wolf art to have huge anime eyes.

unsknown's post is great, couldn't have said it better myself. And that pregnant doggo posted is so cute lol.

Personally I would still use the pregnancy pose regardless of if it follows after the LD one, because I like the variety. I would just prefer it to not have the noticeable nipples. (Edit: I don't mean remove them, just not the way it is on LD.) That is a personal preference of mine.

Emerald, if you don't agree with that, that's completely fine. But next time, would you mind doing that in a way that isn't condescending and rude? It's a personal opinion, no need to talk down to others simply because you don't agree. If immaturity is what you're concerned about, please discuss things maturely instead of essentially calling everyone children.

Also, believe it or not... I HAVE, in fact, seen real pregnant animals. I may have been living under a rock for decades, but that's a pretty common thing to see lol. :P

Btw don't we have IPD that will skip all this pregnant look so players are given an option to skip both large belly and nipples?

Just gonna pop in a say, while I don't have a preference either way on if a pregnancy pose gets added or not, I do have to agree with other peeps please don't add bulging nipples lf it does get added. I just looked that up & that made me really uncomfortable to see, nd I've seen pregnant animals before, in fact my dog has had 2 litters of pups in her lifetime & hers were never that that pronounced, even when they got massively engorged.
