Q: What is a custom decor? A custom decor is a decor item that was created by a Wolvden player. Players can digitally draw their own decorative items (such as accessories, expressions, companions, etc.) and purchase a Custom Decor Creator item from the Grove for 10 GC, with which they can submit their artwork. The artwork is required to closely match Wolvden's style, and must be approved by Wolvden's head artists before being added to the game. Q: What's your price range? Please scroll down to see full pricing information and send me a filled out order form to get a price! I cannot give out general price ranges because each project is unique and the price will depend on factors such as package type, size & complexity, and the desired poses. Q: How do I get a quote for my idea? Please fill out this form and message it to me! You can ask me for a quote anytime, regardless of slot/waitlist status. Asking for a quote is non-binding, so you can change your mind if you decide it's not within your budget. But I will work with you to try to keep the project cost within your budget.

Going forward I will not be offering a waitlist. Q: How does the custom decor system work? Read about the process here! Basically, all decors must be carefully reviewed and critiqued by Wolvden's artists before being accepted. For every custom decor, there is a field for "Crafted By" an "Art By." The "Crafted By" field is whoever submitted the decor using the Custom Decor Creator item from the Grove, and the "Art By" field is whoever created the artwork itself. The crafter has the power to purchase additional copies of the decor for 5 GC each, and to make the decor available for public sale. Q: What's the difference between a universal decor and a decor made for all poses? For universal decors, there is one singular image submitted for the decor that works on any and all poses in the game (for example, an ambient lighting decor like this one). However, this only works for certain concepts. For example, a necklace decor (like this one) could not be made universal - there needs to be separate artwork to match each pose, because the necklace needs to change size and position to fit each pose correctly. Q: How do I know if my idea will be allowed? Please read the custom decor rules rules carefully. If you're still not sure, you can message me to ask if an idea would be allowed or not. But if there's still some doubt, it's best to message Xylax for permission. Unfortunately Modbox no longer will handle any custom decor related questions. Q: What is the decor review process like? Sometimes it can be slow-moving, and can take weeks to get a decor through. But usually, most decors get reviewed within within a week or two. Q: I'm trying to make my own decor, but it keeps getting rejected. Can you help me? Sure, send me a message and I will give you the most detailed advice that I can!

Looking to bring your custom decor ideas to life? Consider commissioning me to create it for you! I specialize in accessories, enhancers & modifiers but have created a wide array of different types of decors.

How to Place an Order

  1. I will post that a session is OPEN. The session will remain open for 72 hours.
  2. You will reply to this thread with a filled-out order form. (OR you can post here that you're applying, and message your order form to me privately if you prefer to keep your idea private.) Please feel free to PM me with any questions or ask for a quote, I'll be sure to reply before the session ends!
  3. I will choose 2 to 3 projects from each session to take on, plus some recolor projects if there are any requested. I will do ONE decor per slot, with a maximum of 13 poses. Thus, I cannot guarantee your project will be chosen. There will be no waitlisting. I get really burnt out/stressed if I take on too much at once and have a long list of people waiting on me - sorry!
  4. Once the 72 hours is over, I will post that the session is CLOSED and message the customers whose projects I selected. Any unselected projects may be re-submitted during the next session, if you wish.

Will-Do's & Won't-Do's

Will Do: Some companions, such as small animals & insects; skulls, bones, mild gore, scars or wounds; weapons or armor; crowns, jewelry, some wings, collars, clothing items & accessories; fruits & foods; lighting decors; expression decors; eye modifiers; etc.

Won't Do: Cats/dogs. Anything requiring complex anatomy knowledge such as large replace decors, large feathered wings & large companion decors. I reserve the right to reject any project I'm not interested in doing.

Timeline

For basic decors & recolors, it may only take a couple days for me to finish the artwork. More complex projects could take a few weeks depending on my schedule and how busy I am at work. Very complex projects with many poses and recolors could take longer, especially if they are very repetitive and detailed. But I am a good communicator and will always keep you updated with where I'm at! Please note that once the decor is submitted, the timeline is no longer in my hands. The head artists can get busy sometimes and it can take awhile for them to review the decor. If the decor is rejected, I will revise it in a timely manner.

Note: By purchasing the Whale Package or Octopus Package, you agree to keep the decor private - so please do not list copies of it on Trading Center/Raffle Hub. If you want to gift a copy to a friend, please clear it with me and just make sure they will keep it private! I'm flexible on making arrangements -- I just don't want people turning around and making a profit off of my work that was meant to be private without my permission. I don't feel that it's fair to me as an artist.

  • I will NEVER purchase/distribute/use any copies of it without your permission.
  • By purchasing this package, you get special privileges. That means you can raffle or sell your copies of the decor and keep all of the profits. But you are limited to those 3 copies, as I will not produce more, so choose wisely what you do with them!
  • There is an additional fee of 10 GC to cover the cost of the Custom Decor Creator item.
  • This package is more expensive because of the exclusive privileges. (+15% upcharge of total project cost)



Pricing & Payment Terms

Pricing is extremely variable depending on a number of factors, including your concept, the size, level of detail, which poses you want, and which package type you choose. The most economical option is the Honeybee Package with one pose, whereas the most luxury package would be the Shark or Butterfly Package with all 13 poses. I highly recommend reading through this thread to figure out what option works best for you. There is a broad spectrum, so this is why I need a filled out order form to give you a price idea!

For the base price, I am now asking $20 USD or 80 GC per hour based on my best estimate of how long the base pose will take me to complete. Then I add a variable upcharge per each additional pose & each additional recolor depending on the complexity of the changes needed. Certain package types may incur additional upcharges or discounts so be sure to read through the package types. This pricing is reflective of the experience I have accumulated after two years of doing custom decors.

If the decor is rejected, any necessary revisions will be free of charge.

I accept GC and SC (1:500 conversion rate), USD & some items. For USD commissions, I accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or CashApp. Mixed payments are also an option. There is a 50% deposit due once you're happy with the mockup sketch, and the remaining 50% is due once the artwork has been completed and is ready to submit. You can also pay 100% up-front if that's more convenient for you!

Items I will currently accept as payment: Umbra, Biform, Tempest, Airglow & Abomination Base Applicators (50 GC each); Random Marking Applicators (3 GC each); bulk nesting materials (12 GC per 100 mats); bulk amusement items (12 GC per 1000 uses)

Rules & Policies

Decor must fall within Wolvden's custom decor rules and must match Wolvden's art style. Custom decors that feature copyrighted materials are strictly forbidden by Wolvden. Taking inspiration is fine to an extent, but copyright infringement is a no-go!

I only accept a deposit after you are 100% satisfied with your mockup sketch. Once I have begun to render the artwork, you may not request any major changes to the design, but minor tweaks are OK. Deposits are non-refundable.

Private means private! Please do NOT distribute copies of a private decor via the Trading Center, Raffle Hub or other means. Unless you have purchased the Shark or Butterfly package, or we have made other prior arrangements, your private decors should remain in your hoard/on your wolves only. By ordering the Butterfly package, you agree to keep the decor available for public purchase at all times.

If you choose a package type where you will be submitting the artwork yourself, you must use the image links that I provide. Any downloading and re-uploading of the images can reduce the quality of the image, so it is essential to use the links provided.

By commissioning me, you agree to abide by the agreed upon terms for payment and for distribution of both the artwork and the decor itself. If you breach our agreement, I reserve the right to refuse to work with you in the future. Art theft, abuse of the rules I have set to protect my artwork, or trying to find loopholes to exploit my work for profit will not be tolerated.

Thank you so much for completing this for me! What I wanted wasn't crazy, but the turnout rate was still incredible! You were wonderful to work with through this all, I'll definitely be back once I have more GC Would definitely recommend to anyone browsing, who might be considering it!
