Posted 2022-04-07 20:49:00 (edited) #720320 This is NOT a guide to mutations. I'm just someone who got bored and decided to create some mutations in wolves. I'm more of a Wolvden player than a Lioden player, but I admire the amount of mutations in Lioden so I decided to create my own mutations and share them here. This will be updated according to the ideas I come up with. I'm not a professional artist, the drawings are very vague and made in less than 20 minutes. I just do this to have fun with the designs and lore. Arthropod (Recessive mutation) Characteristic: This wolf was born with two extra front legs and four extra eyes. Lethal: No. Consequences: -The wolf will be clumsy when walking, but will eventually get used to its extra limbs; its stats will drop twice as low as they would be without the mutation. He will be able to carry out any activity normally during the first years of his life. -His eyesight is better than that of a normal wolf, in case he is a herbalist he will bring between 3 and 5 herbs. -Between 6 and 7 years of age a thick crust will cover his eyes and he will not be able to carry out any activity. It can be avoided by making him immortal before it happens. * Humans had been dumping waste into this lake for a long time. But I was out of energy, and, for the whales of the glacier, I would give anything for a sip of water. The drought hit hard this year and the lakes dried up, finding water was a miracle, but the humans didn't care about the smoke that replaced the rain clouds. With all his regret, he lowered his head and his tongue caressed the hot, dirty water... Puagh! Optophobia (Random mutation) (More likely to occur if the mother has low fertility, and each father past the age of 7 doubles that chance). Characteristic: This wolf was born with the deformity of having more than one pair of eyes. None of them move or close. They stare at an empty spot continuously. Lethal: Yes. Consequences: -Unlike other puppies, Optophobia does not even try to drink its mother's milk, does not move at all and only whimpers in pain. His siblings huddle around him, but he does not react. -If the puppy inherits heterochromatic eyes (either black and white, or brown and blue) the eyes scattered on its body will be divided into both black and white, or brown and blue. -The cub will only live for 2 rollowers before starving to death. On the third rollower this message will appear "Optophobia died from lack of food. Now he will no longer suffer". I was so tired. Always trying to have offspring for so many years only to fail over and over again. It was such a joy to wait for a litter. Even if one of them was not common, she loved her puppy. She worried that he wouldn't eat, but that would soon be resolved. The old wolf, father of her children, just watched from the other side of the cave. Leporido* (Random mutation) Characteristic: This puppy was born with extremely long ears and a small tail. His body is rounder than other puppies. No claws, and has small fangs. Lethal: No. Consequences: -It is incredibly agile and fast, loves to jump and scurry in the undergrowth. Speed and agility are boosted twice as much. -It has no claws, and has small fangs. So his strength is reduced by half. Everyone knew there was a rabbit hole nearby. The cubs liked to chase them and from time to time they devoured their corpses with happiness and pride for their small prey. It was a surprise when one of the she-wolves gave birth to this little creature, round and smaller than its siblings, who chewed its long ears. The mother gave no explanation, and the alpha was content with the rare cub to show off. Wolger* (Random mutation) Characteristics: His head and ears are rounder, his coat is slightly shorter, he has a long flexible tail and retractable claws. Lethal: No. Consequences: -Its base strength is doubled thanks to the extra musculature. -Females are infertile and no element can change it. *A cougar strolled through its territory, offering some carcasses of its prey. One wolf in particular spent a lot of time with him, even in heat. Damn.. I love them all, Optophobia mostly. Maybe when WD allows mutations as game suggestions you can put them here, I'd love non-lethal mutations not based on the color'
