Single Account Rule

Single Account Rule

NGL, having only one account is pretty frustrating.  I don't know if this has changed since I've been on the site, but there wasn't a rule against making multiple accounts on Lioden.  I don't feel right with just one main wolf and I'm bummed I can't have a side account on this game :P.  Is there any chance this rule could be changed in the future?

To be honest I much prefer everyone having just one account on Wolvden - I found the side account system of Lioden confusing and a bit strange. I may well be in the minority though!

Having one account discourages you from moving your wolves and freezing them for "later use" - to this end I 100% support having single account.

I'm sure there are reasons for it and some of those reasons may be valid, but not everyone uses side accounts to freeze wolves indefinitely (honestly I don't know why that would be an issue).  People play the game differently and being able to play with two accounts gave me more to do on Lioden, especially starting out when there was not much you could do with limited territories and resources.  So while there are probably good reasons for having only one account, there are also valid reasons for having multiple accounts.

Most other sites only allow having one account, so it is better that in WD you are also limited to one. With two accounts come twice the amount of food and SC and event tokens etc that you can make, and that will affect the economy a lot. And also kind of remove the challenge from the game as well when you can just keep transferring goods to "the main account".

There is no reason why you should be able two have two accounts in WD, or really on any other petsite. Which is why it is not allowed in most cases.

There is, again, valid reasons for having only one account.  However, many people enjoy having two accounts because it gives them freedom to play the game with more or less challenge involved.  Not everyone wants to or can come home from work and grind it out on a virtual game in order the reap the benefits of the challenge.  Moreover, having multiple accounts does not mean that people send all their resources over to the main account, or that they use a side account only for farming resources and tokens.  Ultimately, having one account may be beneficial for people who prefer having one account, but that doesn't mean it is fun for everyone.

I'm pretty sure the admins have said this isn't going to change in the future. Most browser games I've played only allow for one account, so Lionden is very much the exception. Personally I think just one account is fine, sure having two would probably be nicer for the people who want two but I doubt that'll ever happen.

If you are too busy to grind for food to feed your pack, keep a small pack you can handle or don't just RO during the days when you are too busy to even do a couple of hunts. It is as simple as that. And you don't need to keep wolves (other than nursing mothers and puppies) at 100% either. It's true not everyone would use it to grind for the main account, but a lot of people would do that. So it is better to not allow second account.

As someone who has a main and side account on Lioden, I actually don't mind the single account rule. Even though it's forcing me to be more selective with the wolves I keep because it's costly to expand territory, I have something like 80 lionesses right now between my two Lioden accounts and it's just gotten kind of overwhelming to feed/interact with them all but I like them all too much to chase/sell them, haha. I don't want this to happen to me on Wolvden, so I feel like just having a single account will force me to keep my pack smaller and more manageable. That's just me though, so I understand how it could be frustrating, especially at the start!

@Kahvinporo, you're kind of making my point.  Having multiple accounts gives me freedom to play the game how I want to, allowing me to sustain a bigger pack if that's what I wanted.  You could be quite right that having one account is better for the platform as a whole, but that doesn't make the solution "simple" for people who enjoy the flexibility that multiple accounts bring.  That's all I'm saying.
