Elk antlers drop rates are terrible! simple as that there's like 900 In game right now, so I'm suggesting an alternative crafting recipe for them.

2 Elk antlers.
5-10x elk Ears
5-10x Broken Antlers.
10x Charcoal (Melanistic only)

I wouldn't be apposed to having this as the female's recipe either since there Isn't any more elk items right now.

Or if you wanted too be more creative, Given the nature of the decor a bull elk carcass or cow elk carcass could be an additional item required. Just anything to get away from needing 6 elk antlers christ also a good use of the new remnant feature.

Reason for suggesting Uhhh have you looked at the Item DB? We've had three made since the update last month....

Elk antlers are far too hard to get for this recipe to be a fair one. People farm elk for months trying to get the elk antlers to craft Eternal Slumber, and that only takes 2 antlers. 6 for one decor is honestly insane. Elk ear would be a much more reasonable recipe component, otherwise almost no one will ever be able to craft these decors, and that's really sad. Sure, give them a rare trophy component, but 6 of one of the hardest to get trophies is just too much. 1 elk antler + some number of elk ears, broken antlers, or elk carcasses would be a better recipe.

however, id like to keep elk ears at 4 (or less, because ive only been able to get four and im supposed to get 16 for all the decors…) because they are still quite hard to get. i think the best option for crafting may be this:

x1 (remnant:) elk antlers
x5 (remnant:) broken antler
x4 elk ear
[for the melanistic recipes] 10x charcoal

i think your proposed x5-10 is excessive, and doesnt really make it any more convenient. tho lmk what you think?? im trying to craft all four, and im struggling to just make one…. i dont think the recipes for these decor should be way harder to obtain than backgrounds

Ay! its all up to debate mainly just trying to get the Elk antler cost down! I've never grinded for the antlers before but looking at buddies two antlers ended up with them having close to over 20 ears.

I quite like the carcass idea tbh the decor sounds more logical having carcasses used In with it like... It is a neck and head of an elk! and we dont have pelts yet so why not?

I play for more than a year and I only got > 1 < antler trophy for this whole period. As a stat player I feel slightly punished with the fact that there are no elks lvl 15+ ... why is that a thing even ? Why I can fight a lousy goose that got levels for stat reward range and not elks that are much more formidable adversaries ?  I got my trophy by sheer luck because I had an elk opponent lvl 14 on my last 1% of energy. Not mentioning it can drop various trophies.
Having that in mind and the rarity of antlers I think the requirements to craft this decors are ridiculous. We see a head, pair of antlers, pair of ears ... why not pay for the craft with what we see on it ? 🤔

The recipe for the Elk Bull Mask requires 6 Remnant: Elk Antlers and 4 Elk Ear.

And I gotta agree with this, the amount of antlers need, given their rarity, is absurd. I've got just two from since I started playing; that's only 1/3 of the needed amount. And I've been playing for well over a year at this point. I have 7 Elk Ears (used 5 a little while ago for the Elk Ear accessory, so a total of 12), but just 2 Elk Antlers. Drop rates from Elk seem weird too, I've gotten more trophies from level 5-10 Elk than I have level 11-15 Elk. My more recent Elk Antlers drop came from one that was Level 6.

I do think that these recipes should be a little hard to make, so I'm not saying more Elk Antlers should drop. I think a smaller requirement (I mean, there are only a pair of antlers on the mask, why on earth do we need 6 pairs?) would make this a still tough but attainable goal. People are gonna be grinding for YEARS if they want to make this thing with the current recipe (that or dump a ton of GC trying to buy Antlers from other folks).

I agree with this so much! It's been nearly 3 months and there are less than 15 elk masks in game - and I know some of them were given out in the official raffle. I have been playing and battling for more than a year and have received exactly zero elk antler trophies, even though since the update I have even been purposely seeking them out and battling lower level ones that I wouldn't have battled before in hopes they drop something. Instead of being excited when a new wave of decor comes out (like with the blue jays) I just go "meh" because I know there isn't any realistic possibility of me actually obtaining them. Stack the obscene crafting requirements on top of the extra rare recipe drop and it's not even fun to try and work for them because it can be actual IRL years before I find everything.

Tbh I think a lot of items are too expensive, so either there needs to be rework on the price of crafting items or there needs to be a higher chance of finding these items while exploring. I've pretty much given up on crafting a lot of items because the cost is too high and I don't have the time to grind to get those items and after a while I lose interest when it takes too long.
