I'm having a motherlode of trouble with hunting. My party is at 72% synergy and all of them are around 67% proficiency in their task. But 85% of the time, regardless of season, the hunt fails even the tiny critter trails that have 60% chance of success fail. My pack is suffering from it. I'll probably lose my herbalist and a pup next rollover if I cant have a few good catches soon. None of my wolves have ever been to 100% food and amusement at the same time. Please someone tell me how to better my hunting party so this game doesn't become a miserable chore anymore

Probably your main problem is that you live in Coniferous Forest, that is a medium difficulty biome. That means that hunting is more difficult than in the starter biomes and that your hunters requires higher stats to be able to hunt successfully.

Your actual hunting party has very basic stats, with only one hunter with 400+ stats. Those are really too low to get good chances in hunting even crittar trails. That's why you have such low % showing.

The good news is that you can easily move back to one of the easier biomes (you still have few wolves, so it should be a quick thing) and you should start to see some improvement in your hunting results. Your hunters still have low stats and not full synergy and proficiency, but that will become better the more you hunt (even when it fails). But just moving should make things a bit easier. And remember that right now we are in winter, so hunting % are lowered.
