I really need amusement currently, and was wondering which biomes are best during night and day for both amusement and food.

Glacier is usually considered the best biome for getting amusement, this guide gives a good breakdown of the top biomes for a lot of different situations. I can't remember which encounters are for specific times of day, but two that appear all the time are the Polar Bear cub & Walrus encounters, both of which have the chance to give an 8-use whale bone

What if you don't have the Glacier yet? I never got it unlocked before my lead retired, but i had the tundra fully unlocked, and was working on it. I've got only the last 4 (meaning the Glacier, tundra, swamp, and rainforest) to unlock, but I'm pretty close for both the swamp and tundra.

According to that guide it goes:

  1. Glacier
  2. Swamp
  3. Rainforest
  4. Mountains



So next best would be the Mountains! Personally I find Tundra to be really good too (you can still get whale bones & also gyrfalcon feathers), so once you have them unlocked you'll be able to build up some stores fast =D

Hello! I personally also find the Glacier, Tundra, and Desert to be the best places to get food and toys, with Glacier being the best.

Glacier is really good about giving toys and the occasional walrus pup, and Tundra really helps with a bad food situation. The Desert is more in the middle for food and toys, all this depending on your choices in explore.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents for Desert, as it gives 8-use peccaries pretty frequently, and protecting/harming the turtle will give you an 8-use toy if successful.
