Awoo!

Hello, all!
I just joined this so far amazing website, and I really love it so far!
So far, everything seems a little confusing and challenging to me.
Any help is appreciated ❤️

How does one become adopted here? Do I join someone's pack? Do they pick me?

Thank you in advance, friend 🐺

Hi and welcome to Wolvden! There isn't really a formal system for adoptions, its usually just an older member agreeing to answer some questions or act as a mentor. So, with that being said, I'd be happy to help answer any questions you have! I get that starting out can be a little confusing and it can be hard to keep your pack fed and happy when you first start out. If you have any specific questions or just want someone to chat with, you can send me a message or reply on this thread!

Thank you Sunspot!! ❤️ So far, getting food seems to be the hardest. Well, other than earning sc. I find it quite challenging.

Hunting when you first start out can be difficult. As you hunt, your wolves will gain more proficiency and will start to perform better on hunts. The best way to speed this up is just to make sure that you complete all ten (or as many as you possibly can) of your hunts with that party each day. Some other things to keep in mind is the synergy of your party. That is how well that particular party hunts together and will also increase when you do hunts. However, if you change the wolves in the party, the synergy will go down so make sure that once you've picked your hunters you stick with them. There can also be personality clashes which will decrease your chances of success on a hunt. You can either have the personality snake check your hunting party or do it manually by seeing what category your hunters' personalities fall into and if they get along. A chart of all the personalities and if they get along can be found on my den page. The seasons also play a role in the success of your hunters. It is currently winter which means the chances will be decreased. Once we get to spring the success chance will go up a little.

As for gaining SC, the easiest way is through the questing snake. Make sure that you complete all your daily quests and you can gain around 300 SC from that alone! You can also sell off 1-use food items (like rats, stoats, and other small carcasses from explore) to the raccoon in crossroads to make a little money. I wouldn't sell anything that has more than 1-use to him though because he's notorious for offering terrible prices. Fishing in the games can get you up to 100 SC a day but you have to be fairly on top of that one in order to get the full 100 SC. Slots can give great rewards but it also makes you risk 10 SC each pull and there is no guarantee that you'll get anything out of it. Once you've got a good hunting team, you'll be able to sell off extra food from your hunting team and amusement items you find in explore and from rescouting in the trading center. Selling those items to other players is fairly lucrative and easy because there are always packs looking for food and amusement!
