BASICS

The Rechased Race is an event where contestants race to find as many rechased NBWs as they can in the time period of a month [November 22 - December 22]. During this time, spectators can bet on contestants using Owl Feathers. Prizes are given out to first, second, and third place contestants, as well as an Owl Feather jackpot for those who bet on the winner.

FIRST PLACE

Female Chased NBW with 4/4 rare marks, including SILVER LUPOS. Will be trained as a chaser while the contest goes on in order to raise her speed and agility stats. Will be unbred over the course of the contest in case the winner decides to sex change her.

SECOND PLACE

Male Chased NBW with an Almond base, Violet eyes, and 6/6 rare marks, including Honey Merle. Will be trained as a Stalker while the contest goes on in order to raise his Smarts and Wisdom stats, and kept unbred in case the winner decides to sex change him.

RULES FOR CONTESTANTS

• No bullying, badgering, or otherwise harassment of other contestants and betters.
• No attempting to pass off others' screenshots of rechased wolves as your own.
• You don't have to successfully befriend the wolf, but if you can't record it with a screenshot, it won't be counted.
• This contest isn't meant to be very serious. Don't get competitive over it.
• You don't have to roll over every day to participate, just know that it might give you a higher chance of finding rechased NBWs and so a higher chance of winning.
• Rechased wolves found outside the time constraints of this event do not count towards your total. Everyone will start from 0 and work their way up from there.
• Sometimes there may be debate over whether a discovered chased wolf is actually a rechased or not. Like mentioned above, the rules for this event aren't very strict, and the policy will be "if it looks like a normal NBW, it's a rechased." But if you can easily tell it isn't, the wolf won't count. Example: an unmarked Skarn base wolf would not be counted as Skarn isn't present on NBWs.
• Wolves that were once special NBWs and were rechased count towards this event.
• As a contestant, you cannot bet on yourself or other contestants.
• It's fine if your lead changes during the competition. However, it's a good idea to train your heir to at least level 10 before this happens.

RULES FOR BETTERS

• No trying to rig the system in any way to make it more likely for you to receive the jackpot. I'm not sure why you'd do this over some measly Owl Feathers, but it's worth saying.
• No harassment of other betters or contestants.
• Unfortunately, once you've sent over the feathers you're betting, don't expect them back. Returning owl feathers messes up the Betting Pool and would get messy, fast. If you really need something to keep your wolves from running, feel free to ask me and I probably have some extra. If not, there are numerous other places on the forums to ask.
• Bets sent before November 22 will not be accepted.
• After being sent and recorded, bets unfortunately cannot be changed. This is to prevent everyone switching their bets to whoever's winning at the time.
