THE NIGHTFALL EMPIRE Wolves decended from Tribes The BeginningFuoco spent his younger days studying how large other packs functioned during scouting missions. His ambition was to expand his tribe like never before. While watching these large packs, he admired the strength and ferocity of the wolves in charge. The largest packs of all were called kingdoms. There were usually two wolves in charge, with the title King or Queen. The wolf with royal blood had the most power of all. These wolves demanded respect, and they always got it. Subordinate wolfs won't only nod their head or tuck in their tail, no. They bowed low to the ground or even rolled on their back depending on their rank. This display intrigued Fuoco. He dreamed of the day he could be like those powerful monarchs. During next few years, thanks to Chieftain Nutakeir's new hunting strategies, the tribe had plentiful food, with extra scraps rotting daily. Yes, Fucoco could present his idea to the tribe and become a King! Nutakeir had not yet selected his successor. If he could persuade the aging leader to choose him, then Fuoco's dreams could become reality! And he succeeded. Fuoco was a brilliant diplomat and fearless scout. He also had a rare red coat that glistened gold in the sunlight, a feature other packs would pay valuables for. He was the perfect wolf to take on the responsibilities of Cheiftan. Once Nutakeir passed and Fuoco became the new Chief, he immediately began neglecting duties on purpose while excellingย in others. He pretended to ignore the tribe rankings, revealing how fragile the system truly was. His fellow tribe mates also began to look at the rankings with dismay and annoyance. Meanwhile, Fuoco began to offer new ideas such as new, more efficient roles that were directly inspired by a kingdom's ranking system. His new ideas inspired the wolves of the Nightfall Tribe and they were willing to follow their leader to the end. Once he saw that his tribe suppored him, he made his move. He began to tell rumors of the large kingdoms, of how, by complete coincidence, their ranking system of the kindgom was the exact system the tribe was already adapting to! The Nightfall wolves then demanded that their tribe be called a kingdom, and Fuoco immediately agreed. He implemented the complete kingdom system and changed the tribe's name. They became the Nightfall Empire, ruled by King Fuoco, the first monarch. layout by #202 |

DOMINANCE AND SUBMISSION Always display proper submissive jestures. Make one mistake and you could be punished by the wolf you offended. You only need to submit as a greetings, no need to drag it out. The number indicates how much higher a wolf ranks compared to you. For example, if the wolf ranks three times higher than you, you must show proper respect. Failure to do so may result in punishments ranging from fines to death. 0 ~ Reigning Monarchs enjoy the luxury of pure dominance, not needing to submit to anyone. Wolfs with the same rank also not need to submit to one another. 1 ~ This wolf ranks one above you. Nod your head slightly, nothing more. 2 ~ This wolf is two ranks above you. Dip your head slyghtly and throw back your ears. 3 ~ This wolf is three ranks above you. Dip your head slightly, throw ears back, and tuck tail. 4 ~ Wow, this wolf must be important! Dip head below shoulders, throw ears back, tuck tail. 5 ~ What a powerful wolf! Dip head below shoulders, throw ears back, tuck tail, and avert gaze breifly. 6 ~ You have no idea how you're in their pretense, better be careful. Bend forelegs into a small bow, Dip head below shoulders, throw ears back, tuck tail, and avert until told not to. 7 ~ You really don't want to anger them. Bend all four legs into feep bow, Dip head below shoulders, throw ears back, tuck tail, softly whine, and avert gaze whenever speaking to them. 8 ~ Be very cautious. Bend all four legs into deep bow with your belly touching the flor, Dip head below shoulders, throw ears back, tuck tail, And whine moderately loud. Always advert gaze. 9 ~ You must be a lowly citizen passing the Reigning Monarch. You're very fortunate to even pass by them. Roll onto your back and expose underbelly, throw ears back, yick tail, and whine loudly. Always advert gaze. ? ~ You live on the borders, probably doing something sneaky. The rules don't apply to you! |
