Posted 2021-09-10 00:18:03 (edited) #520370 Hello! :D Recently I have acquired a NBW Teardrop. I'm so relieved and excited because I needed a stud! However, there's a few issues… I need this new stud to be fully customized! The other issue is that I am not very good at designing wolves at all! The wolf in question: The request: Now, I decided that the best way to go about this is to hold a contest! What I'm looking for is: • A wolf with 10 fully customized markings! • A natural looking wolf, with pinkish, white, and red-ish markings (it's okay to go a bit off of this color palette, but I am mostly interested in these colors!) I want the markings to go nicely with this base, and I don't want the base to be too covered up. • I would prefer if all of the markings were amped up to 100%-- again, if not, that is fine too. That's just generally what I'm going to be hoping for :D Note, I expect to be spending a bit of GC. I'm going to be spending GC on marking applicators and such, so don't be too worried about that when designing him. Feel free to remove any current marks as well if need be. I am pretty happy with the way the chaser left the skin, claws, and nose, but if your design calls for different ones, feel free to change those as well! The Prizes: This competition will have 2 winners, a first-place winner, and a second-place winner. As the first-place winner, you will be given 500 silver cones, 2 refunded breedings to this stud, and this funky little YCH I've drawn. Here's an example of one of my wolves on this YCH base. (If more people are interested in it then I might make a separate thread for that—plz leave feedback on that lol! Anyways.) This drawing can be of any wolf of your choice, given that it is yours or you have been given permission for this wolf to be drawn, or it can be a fursona or something, whatever will fit with this specific ych, I will draw! Additionally this prize will not be watermarked like it is in the example, and can either have a solid color background, be transparent, or both if you prefer. This art can be used however you please :) The second place winner will receive 300 silver cones and 1 refunded breeding to my future stud. I would feel bad making there be only one winner, so instead I will make two! I'm hoping that what I offered as prices for this design contest is a fair trade for someone to go and design my stud for me. I'm super excited to see the submissions and I can't wait to see how this wolf turns out! :D Oh, by the way, this competition ends two rollovers from now – Sunday September 12th, 2021. I will no longer be taking submissions into the contest at 12:00 Wolvden time on that day. The winners will be announced shortly after, and those people will be messaged and receive their prizes. Thought I'd give it a shot! Here's a link to the design I came up with: Design

I kept it mostly to marks that are included in the Marking Applicator excluding the last mark which is a Random Marking Applicator exclusive. But it could easily be substituted for another white mark. I didn't keep all the marks at 100% to make the color changes more subtle and keep more of the base visible.

Hello!

The contest has ended and I painstakingly decided of the two winners. I seriously love the submitted designs too much, and I even had to ask for help deciding with some friends of mine.

The first prize winner issss…. Elkie #36694! I really resonated with this design and I felt as though this design fitted what I somewhat had in mind and I feel it would be great for my stud. 💙

The second prize winner isssssss…. badger.! I loved these designs as well, and they really caught my eye. I focused a bit more on the 2nd one while deciding. I am obsessed with merle, however they're so difficult to get from a RMA 😭. I aspire to be able to design wolves like this!!

As for the rest of the designs, I loved them all! Again, this was a hard decision to make. I really appreciate all of the efforts that went towards these lovely designs and i truly thank all of the contestants 💙💙💙!!
