Please help with hunting in a new biome

I recently moved to the coniferous forest a few days ago, but I did so carefully after preparation. I have one hunting team with full proficiency in all roles and full party synergy. I also have a second team with full proficiency and 94% synergy. When I moved I expected the hunting success to be a little lower, but it hasn't gotten back up very much since. In the mountains I was getting a large trail success rate of 54% for both teams, now in my new biome my more experienced team is only getting success chances of 43% and my less experience teams success for large trails is in the 30's. Both my stalkers are really good and consistently pick up large trails even after the move, but it's the success rates that's making me a bit nervous and making me feel like I made a mistake. Is this still because I moved to a new biome and they need to get "used" to it for a few days but it will eventually get to their success like before, or are my wolves not experienced enough?

My highest stat wolf between my two hunting parties has 620 stats, and my lowest stat wolf between my two parties has 396 stats, every other wolf in each hunting party is between that rage, mostly in the upper 400, pushing 500 stats as they lvl up. So is my lesser success in my medium difficulty biome due to too low stats or being in a new biome? If the latter, how many RO until they start getting the same success rates as when I was in the mountains? Should I move back?

I'm not entirely sure how hunting works, but I used to be navigating between things like Mountains -> Riparian Woodlands -> Taiga, and I've noticed that hunting chances seem to lower depending on the difficulty of the biome. I'm pretty sure stats count into this as well, but it seems to be oriented more on the biome difficulty.

Again, I'm not the most experienced, and more of a casual player, but this is what I've noticed and observed. Your wolves don't get "used" to it in any way.

Harder biomes require higher stats/levels for proficiency and have lower sucess rates, but give more experience in return.  The numbers youre describing seem correct, as far as Im aware theres no adjustment period for a new biome, it's just the difficulty of the new biome that has your success rate lowered.  Not to worry though!  That 10% reduction wont do too much damage on your food intake, and you should be find feeding your pack until they gain the levels to get it back.

Thank you synthetic! That has eased my mind a bit over my decision to move.

Your stalkers are very important! The higher combined wisdom & smarts stats the better trails you'll find,, plus of course the more exp you'll be getting!
This is a good spreadsheet on what stalker stats are needed for specific biomes trails :D

For example, if I am seeking out large trails in a difficult biome I would need a minimum of 450 combined stalker stats (225 wisdom and 225 smarts).

Of course the other party members matter as well for actually bringing down the prey! I'm not really sure what the stat requirements are for the other roles though xD

Your success rate is most likely a lack in chaser/finisher stats!
