[Spreadsheet] Wolvden Base Calculator

[Spreadsheet] Wolvden Base Calculator
Posted 2020-10-16 17:02:17 (edited)

Want to know every color of puppy your breeding pairs can make? Wish it was as easy as a couple clicks? Scry excessively no more, we’ve done the work for you! Select a base for each parent in the dropdown menus, and this spreadsheet-based calculator will show you all known possible bases resulting from that combination.

Currently, the calculator shows all results that fit the known genetics rules (per GH's Guide on Genetics). It does not yet show any special combination bases, though we plan to add them in the future when more data is collected on what makes them. Eventually, we would like to add percentage chance for each result.

click here to view public sheet!

  • To use, you must make a copy of the spreadsheet. To do this, go to FILE and then MAKE A COPY. Until you do this, you won't be able to make selections in the dropdowns.
  • To minimize errors or breaks, only make changes to the dropdown menus on the CALCULATOR tab.
  • To browse all combinations and their results in full, view the DATA tab. CTRL + F on this tab can be a quick way to find combinations that result in your desired base.
  • Please do not use our sheet as a template or redistribute as your own.

special thanks to all that had a hand in building the sheet's inner workings, compiling and adding data into the sheet, and providing experimental breedings to find new combos.

When i try to find anythign with Black (I) (on the dropdown) it say "#NA" and when i hover "did not find value 'Black (I)' in MATCH evaluation" :( Ive been using jet as a substitue but i dont know how similar the results would be

I can tell you the results for Black x any Base and Jet x any Base are the same since they are in the same group. The only exception is Black x Red which is known factor to create Auburn II :)

@Paimon - I think I found the issue and made the fix. Can you give the new version a try and let me know if it's working now? (You'll have to make a new copy of the updated version of the sheet.)

docs.google.com

When I try it with my Cream lighter (I) Base it also says #NW similar to what Paimon experienced.
