Those new grinding achievements convince players to do cruel things to pups. I literally made as many pair bonds as possible so I can quickly progress in adopting pups. I adopt the cheapest pups and chase them immediately while the previous owners are not aware what happened to them. I'm doing so only because I don't think I would ever adopt a pup for any other reason than getting those achievements.

What cruel things are you talking about? These are digital pups on a website, they don't feel anything. I try to grab the prettiest ones and keep the tier 2 ones I like the best and sell others that I don't like as much. That's not really cruel that's just putting more pretty pups in the market that other users might like and not so many ugly dull ones

It depends on the point of view you take. You're right, it's just a simulator game. But I like pretending these digital things are real. It's a matter of taste.
