How Is Your Large Hunting Success?

How Is Your Large Hunting Success?

A bit of pre-knowledge: Spring gives you a 10% boost to hunting success (or perhaps no boost at all, as the highest people are able to get for Critter in Summer & Autumn is 90%). Summer & Autumn is either no boost, or -10%. Winter is -25%. Without further adieu...

I'm currently in the Prairie (medium difficulty), and my most successful team is the Frostfangs who give me 35% Large success during Summer & Autumn, but this seems so low? Since it's only medium difficulty. Or am I expecting too much of them?

How are the large trails for the rest of y'all? I'm especially interested in other people in medium biomes. I want a better sense of how my team compares to the rest of the community's hunters.

Howdy! I just sent my best team, the Copper Owls, on a large trail. Their success chance is 36%. I am also in the prairie.

I am in the Coniferous Forest, which is also a medium biome. My best team has about 50% chance of catching Large Prey. My other teams are about 35% for Large Prey. All the wolves on the best team are 6+ years, so I won't have them much longer.

Hey Hollow -- can you tell me which of your wolves are in the 50% success team? I'd like to get a look at them.

I'm in the taiga. My best hunting team, The Reckoning, gets 35% on large trails (when it can find them, which is infrequent). They're all level 17 and 5+ years old. Gonna be time to start breeding their successors soon.

My best hunting party has a 63% chance on large and 81% on medium and I'm in the prairie. Got a second less experienced party that I think has about a 50% chance on large. And also a completely new third party (only created today) and they obviously are only getting critter and small. And small is about 40%.

My best team is these five:

Ember (stalker, close to 200 in both Wisdom and Smarts)

Crescent (chaser, over 200 in both Speed and Agility)

Cobweb (chaser, close to 200 in both Speed and Agility)

Nori (chaser, close to 200 in both Speed and Agility)

Shrimp (finisher, over 300 Strength).

All are level 16.

These are all very helpful guys! I used to think waiting until females were 4.5 years old (so they could have 4 breeding attempts) was good, but I might have to push back that breeding date if I ever want to move back to the Desert.

Like Lionel, I'm in Taiga, and my best party has 38% odds on large trails. Their stats are all 900-1100 range, and their stats are optimised for their roles. They are level 18s. Once they're maxed I'll breed their successors.

I've been keeping records on the stalker stat floors for larger trails in some biomes, as well as numbers on exp from different hunt trail sizes in different biomes. Lmk if you want aught of it.

@Spontaneite That's pretty significant diminishing returns, considering my squad's stats were in the high 700s when I posted that (for just 3% less). Though I bet you see large trails more often than I do.
