Chromium Breeding Wolf Design Contest! Refunded T3 Breedings!

Chromium Breeding Wolf Design Contest! Refunded T3 Breedings!
Posted 2021-03-30 20:41:32 (edited)

Hi everyone! I just bred my next breeding male, a chromium! And I'm looking to customize him. This is him as of now:

Fenrir

I prefer designs that are natural-looking and monochrome. I want to keep his skin/eyes/etc. and his Inuit unders/Selene lupos. Playing with opacity is fine! I will give preference to a design that doesn't have much marking removal/opacity change for the sake of saving money as well. Keeping this in mind, go wild!

Prizes

1st Prize- Your design gets picked to be my breeding wolf! Along with bragging rights, I'm giving away 15 refunded breedings!

2nd prize- Though your design will not be picked, you can have 5 refunded breedings for a good design.

Ends when he turns 6 months.

So there's that! Have at it folks! I can't wait to see what you all come up with :)

i might do some more entries later :]

entry one -- Here we have Fennrir with 3 added monochrome markings [ Black Full Rump 50%, Black Inverted Cross 35%, Black Neck 60% ] and a slight opacity change to the Selene Lupos from 7% to 10%, although that opacity change is optional, I just thought it gave a little more hint of the blue and added a hint of color onto the monochrome. I was going for a slight ombre effect from the top to bottom of the body and I think it played out quite nicely, even with the Black Smudge darkening the paws. Originally, I thought that the head was odd-looking because it was considerably darker than the surrounding neck and body, so the Black Neck fixed that right up and the Black Full Rump continued the darker top while still allowing to his Chromium base and Gray Saddle Ticking to peek through behind the shoulders and add some highlight to the darker colors on his back.

entry two --  This design fills the rest of the 5 marking slots he has left [ Dark Brown Butcher 50%, Gray Agouti 100%, White Eyebrows 75%, White Spectacles 100%, White Gentle Unders 100% ] and the Selene Lupos was opacity changed from 7% to 12%. Of course, the Lupose opacity change is optional, but I would highly recommend it for this design as it is one of the main features that differentiate it from the last. Although this and the first design are very similar, the key points on this wolf are the more earthy tones with the Dark Brown Butcher you can see peeking out from under the Gray Agouti and on the base of the tail, the higher opacity Lupos gives a nice, subtle, and cool hue contrast to the beige and brown.

entry three -- This design also fills out the rest of his marking slots [ Brown Agouti 45%, White Inverted Agouti 25%, Beige Butcher 35%, Black Back 40%, White Marbled Unders 25% ]  and again, Selene Lupos was changed from 7% to 17%, but that change is optional. This design is a little warmer than the others as I included the Brown Agouti and Beige Butcher, but I made sure to keep it in the Monochrom category and kept them relatively diluted. This design also has a lot more white showing than the other two. I thought I'd focus on the lighter side of monochrome to switch it up with the dark colors i've been using previously. Here, the Lupos accents Fennrir really well due to the fact that it "surrounds" so to say the Brown Agouti marking.
