Inbreeding Check

Inbreeding Check

Hey all, just wanted to make a post and ask about pricing or interest in studs when it comes to inbreeding. I thought I had found a stud that was unrelated to my female who will soon come into heat, but found out there is a shared common ancestor. I checked how it would be inherited and the shared ancestor would only show up on page 3 of the lineage..am I able to advertise my stud as NIB? Does IB only count price wise if it's on the first heritage page?

The Mom has 0.53% of DNA from the common ancestor (assuming even 50/50 pass on as comparable to real world) and The Dad has 3.12% of DNA, which is a lot lower than the irl inbreeding coefficient. But, the names are still recorded in the lineage and I know some people looking for studs can be particular.

Thanks all!

You can list as NIB, a lot of players only consider a wolf inbred if it shows up on their first page, while other players consider wolves NIB if they have absolutely no shared ancestry. It isn't a game rule, just a player made term so people have different views of NIB and inbred. So you can list it as NIB if you personally go with the as long as it isn't on their first page. However I would list the kind of NIB he is in his advertisement or in his bio :)

Hope this helps :)
