Add death of hunger/mood [as a user toggled option]

Posted 2021-07-26 04:44:29
I agree that there should be a challenge, I just maintain that if a feature is optional, then opting out of it should be an option as opting into it had been. ^^

I don't really care for the dynasty so I can't add much constructive to that and I'll leave it to someone more creative than me. To be honest I only use it to save the looks of wolves I want to order art of lol

As long as this is a toggle I'm all for this!

I am sorry, but no support from me. It sounds way too complicated to implement and it doesn't add something entertaining pr engaging for the site as a whole. It would be easier if you just created a sheet and let a bot or a dice decide if a wolf survives or dies (and how)  each rollover, and chase them away manually

On the off chance of sounding rude; Berenos, did you understand the suggestion? This has nothing to do with chased wolves, its regarding wolves that would normally run away due to low hunger/mood

cr0wfeathers, not to be rude, but have you read the main post?

OP is stating they want it due to them going to play by lore later on, and:
But this would really help with my immersion with the game as "survival" sim and not just a cute pet sim. Especially because I'm planning to play only by lore in the future so this would help add drama/tragedy/consequences to the game that it in my opinion lacks.

"Help with MY immersion with the game" - quite telling, isn't it?

I am sorry, but that just sounds like a playstyle choice, just like the clean/dirty thing, which, surprise, can be managed with dice rolls, checking heritage and, fanfares, writing the drama/tragedy/consequences with chasing the wolf to be deleted from the heritage pages of the rest.

And, since it is a playstyle choice more than anything - no support. It would be a lot of work put towards a feature that is not needed, won't be really used and will only cause more trouble for users than help anything. If you want drama/tragedy/consequences in your pack - write them. Nothing stops you, there are already ways to "delete" the wolf. You can roll dice for different encounters/reasons and have this random part of it with that.
The only thing that I could support is if you had a button to truly kill wolf, effectively deleting it and not putting into chased pool. Alas, not the suggestion here.

@cr0wfeathers

I do apologize, English is not my first language and sometimes I write things in a convoluted way. I do understand the suggestion has nothing to do with chased wolves, I simply said in my reply that you can get a similar experience if you manually roll for the fate of your pack members every rollover, and if they happen to "die", then you can chase them to emulate their death

Massive support

I already play WD in a survival mode and would also loves this for lore in my tribe ^ ^
Also love that it'd have a toggle and cool down <3

Edit: Also the die rolling thing i Used to do but it feels... cheap as fuck for me and i felt like it was wrong on that level so i stopped using dice/coin method. The game has better RNG than my dice/coin does and would feel more immersive. Yes there's many playstyles and that's why this would be an optional thing that  you could turn on or off.
