Fishing Minigame - Undersized Fish Suggestion

Fishing Minigame - Undersized Fish Suggestion

another great fishing suggestion: Keeping All Kinds of Fish

I saw someone in chat say something about Delicate Meat dropping from fish that are in the upper 50% of their possible weight (like, an Arctic Cisco weighing 3 lb would drop Delicate Meat but a 10 oz Arctic Cisco wouldn't). What if the lightweight fish dropped something too?

An amusement item called Fish Bone(s), that had 1 use (since Delicate Meat only has 1 use).

This would bring up an interesting variable since, as of right now, only heavy fish matter, regardless of their average size (because of the Weekly Fish Leaderboard). If little fish dropped something, there would be at least one reason to keep and submit them.

Plus, amusement items are a big reason people lose wolves. Food tends to be easier to accumulate than toys (unless you're in a particularly difficult biome or have low synergy/proficiency hunters), even with the rescouting benefit.

Anyway, let me know what you think and/or give me suggestions!

suggestion from ☾ Vel: multiple variations of fish amusement items (fish tail, fish bones, fish skull etc!)

I 100% agree! As a person who doesn't have the best luck in fishing and has a hard time getting amusement items, I stand by this suggestion

I would love this! I have an overabundance of food surprisingly but am running out of amusement Items extremely fast.

The last 2 days I had 30+ delicate meat. that amount of amusement could help my pack for a day!

Support, that's a good idea that works perfectly with the fishing minigame!

Complete support, this would definitely help out players who can't afford to buy out amusement items if they get too many wolves, etc. Maybe a variation of the amusement could be a fish tail? Since a shiny floppy tail might be fun to throw around? No idea lmao but yeah love this idea!

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that fish in the lower 50% of their possible weight should drop toys? Or that fish that are in the upper 50% but too small to be worth submitting if you're going for leaderboard should drop toys?
