Any creepy crawly lovers here?

I’m talking tarantulas, insects, reptiles! I’ve owned tarantulas in the past but sadly I currently have none. I’d love to own them again in the future and I have a few species I’d want! I also plan on owning an emerald tree boa one day, and possibly an Argentine tegu!

In the past I’ve owned a Lasiodora Parahybana (Salmon pink birdeater), an Acanthoscurria geniculata (Brazilian giant white knee), a Tapinauchenius Violaceus (Purple tree spider), and I owned some Pterinochilus murinus (Orange baboon tarantulas) and I had 2 more but I can’t remember what kind they were, I believe they were in the Poecilotheria family.

Feel free to talk about your current creepy crawlies, any you plan to own in the future, etc. Also drop some pictures if you have any! I’d love to see them!

^ not sure why my text came out like that xP my apologies

Edit: I was incorrect! The other tarantulas I owned weren’t in the Poecilotheria family! They were feather leg baboons which are closely related to the OBTs :)

You owned OBT's?! Brave person! Im actually a huge Arachnaphobe but I do find Tarantula's fascinating. I also really love Jumping Spiders and have wondered if they could help me with my Phobia but I dont wanna just jump into buying one, id love to meet some first and see how I feel when its in front of me! I love snakes although I wouldnt personally own one but one day I hope I could own a Beardie.

@Devotion, yes! Surprisingly enough my OBTs were usually really calm. I was actually terrified of tarantulas as well but owning them helped a lot and they’re very interesting creatures! Hopefully you’ll get a beardie one day! I’ve never personally owned one but I have been around them and they’re very fun!

OBTs and Pokies! I don't think I could ever own Old Worlds haha however I do have P. irmina and H. mac specimens that I love very very much <3 Also a part of the former arachnophobe club, when C. versicolor was still an Avic it was easily the prettiest spider for me which had me looking for more gorgeous ones. Who knew it'd be all of them! I absolutely plan on having a few life-long Ts and I'm lucky to have a partner who also loves tarantulas lol Brachypelmas and Avics are what I'm looking most into.

I don't live in a place that naturally has anything that isn't an orb weaver or wolf spider. The orbies can get pretty darn big (but not writing spider big) and the wolfs are always so tiny! I've yet to see a "regular" sized one lol though the tiny ones with the little blue eggsacs are quite adorable. I moved for a little bit to Montana and was jumped  by little zebra jumpers when cleaning skulls I found. My aunt would find them all the time behind her desk at work and found one the first time I went down. Very jumpy indeed lol

After owning a bearding for a little while I can say they're not for me. A bit concerning if I'm going to have tarantulas since I can't keep mealworm colonies alive -_- anyways sorry for blabbing, I love spiders but don't usually have a safe place to talk about it

I am a creepy crawly breeder located in Australia. Aussies can only have old world tarantulas, since exotic species are illegal. I currently have 7 tarantulas (Phlogius kuttabul and strenuus, 2 huntsman spiders, 6 species of isopods and many giant prickly stick insects

Not creepy, pretty cute actually, but plenty crawly.

I breed Isopods :)

I currently have Porcellio Laevis (dairy cow morph)

As well as Porcellio Scaber (lava, calico, dalmation/orange dalmation, piebald, and piebald calico) as well as a mix of all the morphs in one bin.

I have two geckos, a crested named Nyxie and a leo named Erel.

Nyxie is a mischievous little child. Aside from being a d#$%, he's a daredevil, but he's a sweetheart that loves it when I rub his chin with my finger. He really likes it.

Erel is an inquisitive little guy, but is also a bottomless pit. He'll eat up to eight to nine mealworms a day. He loves his little cocohut (half a coconut used as a hide/cave) and loves to sniff the calcium powder used for his food.
