Trophy drop adjustments for high level leads

thank you everyone for your input so far!! i'm glad i wasn't the only one scratching my head at this, haha.

@relevantkoala these numbers are absolutely wild, that much GC gone with 0 results sounds extremely painful AHHH... this also serves as some really solid numbers for the disadvantages of trophy collecting with a high level lead, my goodness!!

I don't find many enemies over my level and will run out of energy before I find any good trophy drop fodder. There's no way I will ever get enough drops without getting a low level lead with the way encounters are currently coded.

Edit: Also, my lead is only Lvl 16. I've had one trophy drop since the fox news post and have been fighting my lead pretty consistently. Can't even imagine how much more impossible this becomes at level 20. I don't like things (especially trophy hunting) to become easy but I would like to see more encounters similar to my lead's level in explore.

Support. I feel punished for reaching a high level, and that shouldn't be the case.

Maybe just adjust how the algorithum spawns levels for the higher level wolves? Or allow drops from a wider range of leveled enemies? Cause I have only every gotten items within TWO levels of my wolf.

This!!

Though I think I would be fine with just... enemy levels scaling along your lead. For the last few days, I haven’t been able to come across any ennemy within my range, which is crazy!

I think it should be worth mentioning that certain enemies are locked in lower levels (ocelots, coyotes, vultures, arctic foxes and more) so once you are past those levels it’s effectively impossible to win their trophies.  

You could replace your lead for a chance to win those, but you’ll only have a limited time in the proper level range.  And you won’t have access to all the biomes as your explore progress is reset.  I think an amendment to the current trophy drop mechanics or enemy level ranges is really needed.

Agreed.

It's already painfully frustrating when the battling system is objectively awful but at level 17 I feel like I'm being punished for actually putting up with the irritation long enough to get a higher leveled lead.

^^ exactly, putting in the effort to get a higher level lead should reward the player, not handicap them.

Personally, I'd personally like to see trophy drop rates start increasing at level 15, with level 20 having the best drop rates. As a leader's level rises, they get better at keeping certain parts intact. The trophy drop rates should mirror a wolf's skill as shown by their level.
