This is a place where people can share their favorite manga/anime series, look at others' recommendations, and discuss!

Have fun reading fellow anime/manga lover's recommendations here to pass time while your wolves' energy are slowly replenishing! :)

*You can find my personal recommended anime/manga list on the 2nd page of this thread*

And whoever happens to click into this thread looking for manga suggestions please go read My Broken Mariko  by Waka Hirako! It's a short manga already ended by 1 book, so it's a short read and easy to dive into, but it's definitly one of the most emotional mangas I've ever read!

Seems like you're really into shonen jump mangas?  I like series that revolves less around a romantic plot, so we might not prefer similar mangas :) But thank you so much for sharing! You might enjoy ID: Invaded if you haven't already watched the series!

Dorohedoro is an absolutely amazing animanga series (I've only read the manga, but there is an anime series that was released earlier this year on Netflix). It's a seinen or adult manga and there's a shit ton of wild gore and nudity though, so you should read it with caution especially if that's not your thing.

If you want something more light-hearted and comedic, then I recommend checking out Cells at Work. It's a cute anime with personifications of cells of the body (e.g red blood cells and white blood cells) and every episode usually focuses on some type of ailment or occurrence in the body like influenza or scrape wounds. It's available on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and if you like it well enough, there is a second season coming out early January.

I don't have "the" favorite but I have a small list of anime I adore.

Inuyasha - probably my first anime, and for a lot of people it was their first anime too. I hold it special in my heart, and my favorite character of all time is actually from the show -- Kohaku!
I know Inuyasha has gotten a sequel and I'm not sure how to feel about it yet, but the show will always hold a special place in my heart. My favorite end theme was always no 7 - "Come my Way".

If you're a fellow Inuyasha fan you should do yourself a favor and go on youtube and look up "Inuyasha bumpers" for some good ol' Adult Swim / Toonami nostalgia.

Yu Yu Hakusho - another nostalgic anime, I remember seeing this one on toonami specifically, then I think it got moved to adult swim. It's story kinda ends off as a bummer at the end (show ending way too short) but it'll also hold a special place in my heart.

Zoids - I used to LOVE this show, for the longest time it was my obsession. Now since Zoidding is an expensive hobby I've kinda fallen out of it. But I still remember it fondly. If you want a good mech anime, "Zoids Genesis" is the best out of all of them, I believe, and "Zoids Chaotic Century" has the best animation. (a animation director for beastars worked on zoids, IIRC?)

Ranma 1/2 - Some more nostalgia, it's just a feel good anime, even if some of it hasn't aged well with time (mainly PC stuff). Whenever I'm having a bad day I usually turn this on.

Gintanma- Honestly? One of the most hysterical shows I've ever freakin' seen.

Princess Mononoke - Probably showing my age but I remember picking this up for the first time at a VHS rental store.

Spirited Away - Another great film. : )

Nausica and the Valley of the Wind -  ".

Others I like but they're not as high:
Beastars, BNA , Mobile Fighter G Gundam!, The Cat Returns, Ginga Naraboshi Gin, Yugioh (love/hate relationship), Pokemon (older series only), Digimon, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain.

my favourite manga is definitely either akira or goodnight punpun! favourite anime is between cowboy bebop, trigun or megalo box, but i love any of satoshi kon's movies to death as well, my favourite being paprika. i also like to read junji ito's works - i've been on the lookout for new manga to read for a while.

akira is a classic, and i really can't emphasise how much i'd suggest reading it! if you don't like reading, the film is just as good, especially the animation, however it doesn't touch on half of the things in the manga so i'd definitely recommend reading it! soundtrack is absolutely insane too, worth the watch just for the music to be honest!

goodnight punpun is another amazing read, but i'm cautious about recommending it to people. it's very dark/has a lot of serious topics appear despite the way it looks, so i'd steer clear of it if you're in a bad state of mind/easily upset. warning for nudity/gore, among lots of other things that people could find triggering. however, for those that like less light-hearted manga, it's easily a 9/10 in my book. have to take a point away as there's a certain plotline that i'm really not a fan of, but it can be easily overlooked.

i'll definitely put your suggestion on my list, it sounds right up my alley! :-)
