The Legendary Challenge Clan

Do you, like so many of us, wish for your pack to be legendary? When so many pups are born each day with rare markings or leaderboard ancestors, it is becoming apparent that one cannot achieve true greatness and be fully satisfied in this game by taking the easy route. The Legendary Challenge is a gameplay style for those who value high stats, a clear family legacy, and quality above quantity.  These laws are not meant to belittle other users' playstyles but are to create a challenge and enhance the fun for anyone interested. Our aim is to create unique bloodlines and achieve noteworthy breeding goals through patience and strategy.  Please read the guidelines below for how to play:

Legendary Laws:

  1. Each player must start with a heritageless (Gen 1) foundation wolf to begin their legacy. This wolf can be male or female, and would usually be your leader, though this is not required.  If they are male, they must eventually be your breeding male so that they can pass on their legacy when the time comes. The foundation wolf should have a surname that is unique from anyone else within the challenge, and which is only passed to their direct offspring.
  2. All players should practice generation breeding, meaning that wolves should only be bred to wolves of a matching heritage (ie generation 2s breed together, generation 3s breed together, etc). Heritageless wolves may be bred with any generation to introduce new blood when needed. Only generation-bred wolves descending from a Legendary Challenge foundation wolf can hold a Legendary Surname.
  3. When two wolves breed which each hold different legendary surnames, the offspring can hold either name or use both, as up to the parents' discretion.
  4. Players should not practice inbreeding for this challenge, and inbred wolves cannot hold a surname.
  5. Any wolves that are intergenbred or inbred must be marked as "Unqualified" either by cave sorting or a note made on the wolf's profile.
  6. The heir to the legacy for each generation must be conceived from your foundation wolf, with both parents having reached their maximum level (currently level 20) PRIOR to breeding.
  7. Your legendary wolf should not be retired without reaching their full potential unless the player is starting over with a heritageless wolf and a new surname.
  8. Each wolf in your pack should have some lore as to their history, personality, and role.  Packs should have lore regarding their affiliation with the other packs of the clan and how the families regard one another. (optional)

Sol #1965 | The Sol Lineage of Sol Pack | Sol, G1 Male, lvl. 20

Legendary Community:

We strive to make a clan community full of players working toward the same goals of high-level, good quality wolves.  By heeding the laws of the challenge, we are creating a network of lineages which can all be traced back to the effort you have each put into your pack. All of us benefit from a network of high-level breeding wolves.  By joining, you can count on having a team of people to give advice and help each other with these goals.  Until the official Clan function is released on Wolvden, we will have a discord server for stud advertisements and sales, conversation, and potentially even raffles/giveaways exclusive to the clan.  Lore is encouraged for those who like a creative element, and we could even have a private Clan roleplay if there is member interest.

credit: I want to credit the Cult Pact Challenge, as many of the laws of our challenges overlap and this group has shaped my initial play-style for Wolvden.  For those not interested in our prioritizing of leveling/stats but looking for a lineage clan, this is a good option.

Lore: here

Lore is going to be on the linked thread instead of the bio of the wolves. Only wolves in the "Lore Cave" will be participating.

Generation one wolves (Sol, Luna, and Stella) will not be carrying a surname, but generation two and onwards will with one exception. Pack leader will not carry a surname, and this is because I plan on naming all the pack leaders a variation of the word "sun". It'll just be really weird when their names turn out to be Sun Sun.

I'm super excited to see this group happening and I hope people will be active in this clan so I can passively find some breeding partners.

Right now my lead's mate Stella is at lv 19 and about 50% to lv 20. She'll be there in the next two/three days and I'll be breeding her to Sol immediately for generation two. I will be keeping a male from that litter.

At the same time I am raising another generation one female Acrux. When she becomes level 20 I plan to breed her to an outside gen 1 level 20 male for a female gen 2. This female will become the mate of the male I kept earlier and they will have a male. If I time things right, this gen 3 male will be my next pack leader.

Then I'll need to look outside for a gen 3 mate (this is where I'm passively looking for a breeding partner). I am using guarana to rush things sometimes so I'm hoping I can find others around my pace.

I'm not gonna lie, I was hoping specifically you would join!  I'm really excited about this idea, too, and hoping to find a solid group of people with this same goal!

I have a discord server under construction now that I can release once we have a preliminary group.

I've been contemplating on making a board looking for breeding partners, but never got to doing it. I'm so happy you did this so I don't have to XD

I just really want there to be more people breeding high stat wolves themselves rather than relying on LB studs. It's not so much of a problem now since we are all so new, but once we get a few more generations in it'll be hard to find an unrelated mate. It's good we are starting early and I'm really hoping we attract some more members.

I was planning on doing something like this already so joining a clan for it should be fun :D

I'll be starting with Redriver and Skywatcher, and I'm breeding future mates for the next few gens using wolves from this den.  I have lore in mind too but I haven't gotten around to writing anything yet

I am so excited that we have a couple of new additions!  I have gone ahead and thrown together a Discord server if anyone is interested so we have a place to chat and strategize.  There's a stud book channel so everyone can make a post with advertising information for their stud so we all have a reference to scroll through, as well!

My lead won't have the surname in her name, instead she'll be named following a pattern, starting with Origin of the Aether, then Twain (meaning two fathoms deep) or Dos, and so on. Origin's mate will later be switched to a scout when one reaches lv10.

I'm still working on getting all my lore worked on, though most of the pack has partial lore on the main den page.

I made it to Gen 2 when I made two very unfortunate pairings. Her first mate died before he reached level 20, and her second would only reach it after she died.

Giving Up
I have decided to give up on this challenge. I am unable to sink in the hours needed to level wolves in time for breeding. This group also looks pretty dead and I was never officially accepted in the first place.

Surname: ...of the House of Azura

Foundation Wolf: Azura

Because of the House of Azura being named after her my lead wont have “...of the House of Azura” , but of course her children will have that title after their name. Also i just officially started writing my lore yesterday, so the pack name might change soon to fit the idea i have. If it does, I’ll let you know. I hope that’s okay.
