this sounds silly but i wanted to make a thread to talk about my dog! i thought this would be a nice and cute place for yall to talk about your animals too, if you want. my dog, sufjan, has legitimately practically saved me. i love him beyond anything and he has made me happy to wake up on hard days.

This is my pup Odin! He is 3 years old and my little savior as well <3 the first picture is him meeting his new little sister 4 weeks ago! The second is just a personal favorite of mine :)

Your dogs are so cute!! I had a wonderful shih tzu in my life a few years ago named Eden. Sadly she passed away but she helped me through so much and will always have an important place in my heart <3 (she is the black and white one :))

and this is my cat and best friend, Tsuki ! She is a 5 yo rescue and the sweetest cat I've ever met. When I have panic attacks she likes to lay on my chest and purr.

Dogs and cats are so mainstream! Jk I love yours, but here's my hairless guinea pigs! They are spunky, sassy, very loud, and always hungry. I love em to bits!

I see a trend of animals helping out with some hard times and mental health here! That's so amazing. Also hairless guinea pigs look like little hippos, kinda, but they're cute. Used to have a guinea pig myself (adopted her after her bonded sister passed away) and I miss waking up in the morning to hear the excited 'weeeeeep weeeeeep' demanding treats.

Right now, I've got 6 animals. Our 7-year-old cat, Toothless, who - while named after HTTYD - is actually missing 4 of his teeth. Photo below courtesy of our vet's office, who sent this comparison to me to let me know his dental surgery was done.

And 5 rats, all adopted from shelters, currently. Two of whom were foster failures. Oops. Rats are Handsome Jack (black hooded - 2 years old, neutered male so he can be with the girls), Pidge (blue capped - 1 year old), Ripley (agouti - 1 year old), Mabel & Sable (the Himalayan twins - 5 months old).

@Paramnesia. I can't get over how cute your rats are! They all look so cuddly! Can't wait to own rats again, they're one of the most amazing pets I've ever owned.

This was my little guy, Mozzarella. (He was an only rat, I have reasons for that but it'd be a long post if I explained!)

I currently own two mice, rescued wilds, Twitch (top) and Rocket (bottom)

Ill share in the pet love! I cant share all my babies (bc they arent technically mine, but Ive been with them since Day 1 and love them as if they were my own! Im a dog trainer/walker) but Ill share my one that has saved me time and again. Amber, my chinchilla is a ripe ol hag, grumpy as they come, and full of complaints. But with me, shes sweet as honey (when Im not keeping her up at night with my light LOL) and smart as a whip- even decided she was going to potty train herself! Shes kept me from doing something incredibly stupid, and can even sound the alarm 5 minutes before I hurl loud enough to alert my mom over my dad's snoring (no idea how she knows but my carpet flooring thanks her!!). Shes truly one in a million and I cant picture my life without her.

This month we're celebrating her 10th birthday! I've raised her since she was 4 months old and goodness, how the time flies! Feels like just yesterday I was training her to not eat my baseboards xD
