Better sorting with caves

Better sorting with caves

Hi, devs!

Today, I had this idea.

I will explain the idea here. In my explanation, I describe what my idea will change or add to the game.

I had this idea because I realized I struggle to visually see my adolescents from the adults in the game, and I feel my idea will fix this issue because of visually separating ages. Alternatively, I had this idea because I realized my idea will add something special to the game to aid those who struggle to see the difference in ages on the den page.

In order for my idea to get added to the game, I think the following will be required from the devs: coding

Thank you for considering my suggestion!

Using the template for the basic intro. going more in-depth here below.

I was a tester and even during testing I had struggled to see pups, adolescents, and adults on the den page. It's frustrating for me because I want to be able to track my youngsters and when they are mixed in with the adults I struggle with it. I tried following the script to describe it and avoid it being like lioden but the system on lioden has allowed me to make sense of my pride. I want to be able to visually scan my pack and not have to enter each wolf's page. Yes, there is some text on the side saying what age but with a bunch of wolves that text gets lost in the jumble of words to me.

Edit: as it was posted under "better sorting" I would like to add ways to sort by age, role, gender, name etc. I feel like it would be cool to see all my hunters together instead of trying to find their symbol.

I'd like this! Just a little extra organization would be nice

Additionally, I'd like to be able to choose what order my caves are on my den page. According to what I know, caves can only be sorted alphabetically, and for someone like myself that plans to add lore to my pack once it becomes a bit more established and fleshed out, having all my caves out of order based on the "rank" of my wolf in my lore really irritates me. I think I should be able to completely customize how my caves are organized, instead of only being able to sort by things like name, rank, amount of wolves, etc

hey ! i like this idea, it's hard for me to keep track of my pups, adolescents, and adults and i don't have as many wolves as other players. also, it's very frustrating that we can't remove wolves from caves without putting them in a different cave, especially since sometimes wolves are put into caves by mistake. thank you :)

When it comes to this, for now, you can do what I do? I sort by tagline, and tag them the way I want. My labels are young, hunter( - role), scout, and herbalist. It seems to work relatively well for me? but if I could click a button that would be 10× more my friend.

Very happy that I'm not the only one. I agree with sorting caves too! I mainly have one cave but a second for quarantine. I was surprised when I noticed no one else suggested it and so I'm glad others have noticed. If there is a simple button for sorting or possibly a drag system like moving markings on wardrobe would be great!

I don't know if I am simply not understanding but you can 1. put all pups and/or all adols in a separate cave to keep track of them and you can 2. sort your den by age, stats, name, footnotes etc.?

Once I found this problematic, I simply scrolled down the list of wolves in the cave and there's a setting bar which I set to sort by age. I can distinguish puppies seeing they have green bars (survival chance) instead of yellow ones (energy). I can distinguish adolescents seeing they have no roles, unlike adults (unless there's a young adult without a role). Have you tried this?

I think puppies can be easily distinguished seeing the green bars. Adolescents have energy which is never used, maybe they should have yellow bars changed?

Support. They're seperate on Lioden by a little black line and I definitely feel a little spoiled by that. Coming to Wolvden it's a little bit of a shock to see them all mixed in. Especially with pups being harder to care for and needing to be seperated if you're like me and don't take care of them 😅
