Add the ability to gift items or currency

Hello! Me and some friends have felt that this was a needed feature from the start.

Be it to help a newbie friend who's just starting and needs something, helping others with medicine, giving someone some extra food, or even when we do giveaways, a gift option is always on our minds.

Gifting would allow players who want to help others or deliver prizes, it would cut down on planning things and setting up trades which take up some extra time, I think it'd be a good feature to be added for those reasons!

I like this idea but I also think it should have an " are you sure" mark before you gift, just in case you've accidentally selected too high of an amount of currency or the wrong item. 

I agree. Not being able to transfer items has been....well it hasn't been an easy process haha. 

I agree this is especially not great when I do art and am asking for payment as trades can easily be canceled. It would save a lot of time to have transfers.

I agree, as well! One-way/gift transfers like this would be helpful for a lot of different reasons, whether it be gifting items, SC/GC, wolves, etc. I'd like to draw players' wolves in exchange for SC/GC, but at the moment, I'm really unsure of how to go about it, so a system like this would be super useful.

As @/Mags also suggested, a little pop-up asking players to confirm their transfer before proceeding would also be very useful on top of it. :]

Yes, and it would prevent people constantly (and innocently!) offering gifts in the main chat, and then being redirected to sales chat! I see this happen almost every day; the current system leads to extra confusion! 

I think I've seen the mods mention in the chatbox that this is coming! And that once it is possible to gift, giveaways in main will be allowed!

+ this. I forgot to private a trade and users just refuse to return the currency. it makes it not enjoyable to commission art.

Support! This would be a useful feature; I am surprised it has not been implemented already.
