Hello!

I'm here to post an idea for my Wolvden friend because she can't speak any English. The problem is that her first alpha died some days ago and she noticed that all biomes she had scouted were completely unscouted and black again. We both don't think this is fair. Why should your scouts forget everything about the biomes they scouted just because the alpha died? Of course, you also explored quiet a lot with your alpha. But the scouts still had scouted the biome fully, why should they forget everything about the biomes suddenly? We (me and my friend) think this feature should be removed. But there still should be a difficulty, right? Well, the solution is easy! We had an idea:
Instead of scout every biome new when your alpha died, when you substitute an old scout with a new one, the half of all biomes you've scouted become grey again. When the new scout already scouted some biomes as an adolscent, the blue bar from each "grey biome" is half full. The longer it's been that the new scout scouted the last time, the less full the blue biome bar is. When you substitute both of your scouts, it's the same, but for all biomes you've scouted! This would make much more sense and would be way more fair.
The original idea is from my friend shadow11333, so credits to her, I just helped a little bit.
And sorry if my English isn't that perfect, it's not my mother tongue 😅

That would ruin half the purpose of scouting as of a role that discovers biomes, along with stats for scouts and scouting proficiency.

Could I ask why?
I would be happy if you would explain it to me!^^
Because I'm not so familiar with stats, etc.

When scouting areas, the greater certain stat you have for the biome and scouting proficiency, the faster you discover areas.

Re-scouting doesn't rely on either stats or scouting proficiency deeming them useless for the most of the time for players who have all areas fully discovered.

Thank you for the explanation!^^
But you would still have to scout some biomes again with the idea I tried to explain and it would make much more sense.
Hm, the game doesn't make sense everytime-
I just say purple wolves 😅
Maybe you're right, idk-

Edit: In different biomes, you can hunt different animals. Some animals like the muskrat for example, you can use for craftings. And you can find different items with your alpha in different biomes or fight different enemies that drop different trophies. There maybe isn't a big different between a toucan feather and a swan feather besides they've different amusement uses, but you can use them for different craftings. But I think, you know, what I mean.

No support for the following reasons:
  1. Scouting locked biomes is a great way to bulk up stats. It's really important when it comes to training up a future lead or stud. There are many stat breeders who would be upset if scouting locked biomes was taken away. Comparatively, rescouting is not an efficient way to boost stats and earn XP.
  2. The more difficult biomes to unlock (such as the Rainforest and Glacier biomes) require a certain amount of stats and proficiency to unlock. They also take a lot of scouting to unlock, which again is great for grinding stats. These biomes are  also generally more rewarding when it comes to item drops so there is a reason why they're so difficult to unlock. People who put in the time and effort to unlock the Glacier will have an advantage over other players, which is what makes scouting worth all that time and effort.

Ok, thank you for your criticsm and that you explained why you don't support!^^
I think I understand now why you need to scout everything new when you alpha changed and why this is so important. As I said, I don't know much anout statt gaining and stat breeding 😅
Thank you again for explaining it so detailed!
